Sebashi Life Question 1: Who Am I?
Description
Book Introduction
The book "Sebashi's Life Questions", which reached 100% of its funding goal in just 30 minutes and ultimately surpassed 1,800%!
Sebashi asks questions and I write the answers in the book, "Sebashi's Life Questions," which will change your life in 2021. '15 Minutes to Change the World' (hereafter referred to as 'Sebashi') is a lecture content where speakers from various fields each share their knowledge and life stories for 15 minutes. Sebashi launched in May 2011 and has produced over 1,300 lecture story content pieces over nearly 10 years, generating approximately 700 million views through online channels. This is why the nickname 'Korean TED' when it first started has now changed to 'national lecture content brand'. Sebashi celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2021 and thought about what it could do with Sebashi fans. Rather than simply listening, watching, and reading, I constantly reflected on myself and considered whether there might be a way to bring about change that would transform my life. The result of that deliberation is the book project “Sebashi’s Life Questions.” The key to the book “Sebashi’s Life Questions” is not reading, but writing. We have carefully selected 100 of the most outstanding lectures from over 1,300 lectures given over the past 10 years. And then I turned those 100 lectures into 100 life questions. Those 100 questions were then supplemented with 300 sub-questions. Readers are asked to answer 300 questions on their own. I will answer in writing. Because writing is the best way to concretize your thoughts and the only way to lead to voluntary behavioral change. The book project "Sebashi's Life Questions" was put on the public's radar through crowdfunding for a month starting in November 2020. When asked about the book's concept and content, Sebashi fans and the public responded with explosive support and patronage. A total of 3,200 people pre-ordered the "Sebashi Life Questions" book set, and through this, over 12,000 copies were sold even before the actual book was released. This book consists of three volumes. 'Who am I, what do I want, and what will I do to get it?', these three life questions are divided into about 300 questions in each volume. Part 1 of "Sebashi's Life Questions," "Who Am I?" is filled with questions that will help you explore yourself, giving you the opportunity to discover what excites you and what scares you. The most basic and important questions for living in the world will be answered. Sebashi also hosts meetings with people who own this book to find answers and share them with each other. This is a meeting called the “Sebashi Life Question Seminar.” It will be held once a month going forward, and will be a great opportunity for readers who want to work together to answer the "Sebashi Life Questions" book project. |

Sebashi Life Question 4.
Are you aware of your own unique desires?
We live each day doing our best, hoping to be happy, and we endure many things.
I studied hard to gain knowledge and achieve many things for a better life.
But then, there are days when I wonder, 'Why am I working so hard?'
I sometimes feel afraid that I might not be as happy as I tried.
It's a natural fear.
Hard work may increase your knowledge and gain experience, but that doesn't necessarily mean you'll be happy.
Knowledge and experience don't always guarantee a better life.
No matter how great your accomplishments or how much knowledge you possess, if you don't understand yourself, you will ultimately end up lost.
Only when humans exist as ‘their own selves’ can they become free and walk towards happiness.
And that life begins with understanding your own desires.
Because desire is the power that moves us voluntarily and leads us to live happily.
A person who knows his or her own unique desires well will be able to find his or her own unique happiness.

Publisher's Review
Many people dream of growth, but not many achieve the growth they desire.
How can we foster personal growth? Sebashi, a national lecture brand that imparts knowledge and provides opportunities for reflection through lecture content, is celebrating its 10th anniversary by unveiling a method for nurturing the self.
Everyone pursues a better life and wants to grow further.
But the beginning is difficult and unfamiliar.
In the journey of building myself, the repetition of ‘listening’, ‘writing’, and ‘speaking’ is more important than anything else.
For the past 10 years, Sebashi has been producing lectures as 'listening' content.
As evidenced by the cumulative 700 million views, countless people have gained insight and changed their thinking through Sebashi's lectures.
Now Sebashi suggests 'writing'.
Because thinking is action, and only through action can our lives change.
Sebasi selected 100 of the best lectures from over 1,300.
And I extracted the key questions from each lecture.
‘Who am I?’, ‘What do I want?’ and ‘What will I do?’
These 100 questions, divided into three categories, are 'life questions' that ask who you are, where your desires are directed, and what you want to do.
The book project "Sebashi Life Questions," published in 2021 to celebrate its 10th anniversary, met the public through Tumblbug crowdfunding starting in November of last year.
The reaction was enthusiastic.
Within a month, the funding goal was reached by 1800%, and over 12,000 copies were sold before the actual product was even released.
Purchase inquiries from Sebashi fans who were unable to participate in the funding are being received in real time.
'Sebashi's Life Questions' is not a book that you can simply read and gain insight into.
It will be a life guide that will help you find yourself by directly answering questions like, "What makes your heart beat?", "How have difficult experiences in the past influenced you today?", and "What is happiness to you?"
The time you spend writing your own answers to the 'Sebashi Life Questions' will change the next 10 years of your life and even the world 10 years from now.
Sebashi is a lecture content where speakers from various fields each share 15 minutes of knowledge and insight about life.
Since its launch in May 2011, it has produced over 1,300 lecture story contents, and has received applause from over 2.6 million people.
Sebashi's lecture content has surpassed 700 million cumulative views, establishing itself as a "national lecture brand."
CEO Koo Beom-jun said, “The world is divided into before and after Corona.
“I thought that Sebashi’s 10th anniversary should be different,” he said, explaining the intention of the project, “I thought about what I could do with my fans, and I wanted to give them an opportunity to constantly reflect on themselves and change their lives.”
'Sebashi's Life Questions' contains the concerns and achievements of Sebashi, who has worked to change the world over the past 10 years.
Now Sebashi says let's create change together.
Because the protagonist who changes the world is none other than you.
Sebashi celebrates its 10th anniversary
In May 2021, Sebashi turns ten years old.
Perhaps the oldest lecturer in Korea? Sebashi is the only one to have held public lectures continuously for nine years.
The cumulative number of viewers is close to 100,000, and the cumulative number of views is estimated to exceed 1 billion.
It would not be an exaggeration to say that lecture culture is divided into pre- and post-Sebashi periods.
I've been thinking about it a lot for the past couple of years.
Because we need to hold the 10th anniversary event as a lecture that will be remembered for a long time.
An event where all 1,000 speakers are Sebashi fans.
My heart raced just imagining it.
But imagination didn't become a plan.
The unexpected COVID-19 pandemic has cut off people's ability to gather and meet.
Even the Sebashi public lecture series, which had been held continuously for the past nine years, has been suspended.
The world has been divided into pre- and post-COVID-19.
We had to change the way we celebrated Sebashi's 10th anniversary.
Because old ideas are no longer relevant in the post-corona world.
If it's Sebashi's 10th anniversary, it has to be different.
There must be some semblance of thought and action there.
I thought that rather than an event that would end in one day, I needed to create a change that would change my life for the next 10 years.
Sebashi is not an answer, it's a question
Sebasi always contains a story of someone's discovery and awakening.
The story always starts from a question the speaker had.
It's fascinating to hear how questions become the speaker's own answers.
That's the fun of Sebashi.
Perhaps you think of Sebashi as the answer to the questions life poses.
But the opposite is true.
Sebashi is rather a question.
After listening to the speaker's story, you will probably have one quick question in mind.
'Then what about me?' At that moment, the question the speaker asked himself returns to you.
Now it's your turn to answer that question.
That's the use of Sebashi.
Sebashi asks, you write the answer
When you love, you ask a lot of questions.
There are many things we wonder about when it comes to our loved ones.
How your loved one is feeling, how their day was, what they want to do.
The questions keep coming back to me.
But what about yourself? You don't really ask.
Are you blunt to yourself?
no.
We know.
How much you love yourself.
You are always pursuing a better life.
I want to grow more.
Just by having that desire, you are a person who loves yourself enough.
It's just that I don't know how, and the beginning is unfamiliar.
So Sebashi suggests:
Here are 100 questions from Sebasti's lecture.
It is a 'life question' that asks who you are, where your desires are directed, and what you want to do.
This may be a common question.
It may be a question unfamiliar and irrelevant to your life.
Some questions may be painful, and some may be stupid.
But the reason these questions are called 'life questions' is because they are directed at you.
Because you have to write the answer yourself.
It would be perfect if even the questions were yours.
But this time, Sebashi will help.
The moment you answer, all the questions directed at you become questions of life.
You are the protagonist who changes the world
People learn and grow by repeating three things.
The three are listening, writing, and speaking.
Sebashi's content revolves around this.
For the past 10 years, what Sebashi has focused on is 'listening'.
About 1,300 people from our community spoke at Sebastián, and you heard their stories.
Now you write your answers to the questions posed by the speaker.
This is 'writing'.
Writing is a process of reflecting on life and elaborating thoughts.
Only through writing do thoughts become actions.
Action through writing ultimately changes lives.
The changed life will be conveyed to the world through the third process, 'speaking', and will be written down by others who hear it.
Sebashi works within this virtuous cycle.
Many people ask:
Sebashi 10 years, so did it change the world?
We answer yes.
I don't know about the world as a country or social system, but I am proud to say that I have changed someone's life.
Because changes in the world always come from someone's awakening and challenge.
This is how Sebashi changes the world, and why you ultimately become the protagonist who changes the world.
This book contains Sebashi's struggles and achievements over the past ten years as he has changed the world.
And your journey to a better life will be no different.
Please write your own answer to Sebashi's life question.
Your answer will change your life for the next 10 years and the world for the next 10 years.
This is the campaign that Sebashi is launching to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
Please join us.
