Publisher's Review
Mathematics is closely related to politics, economics, society, culture, sports, entertainment, etc., and provides the basic theories that form the basis for these fields.
The purpose of this course is to help students understand that mathematics is not a discipline separate from life, but is closely related to it.

In detail, Chapter 1 covers everyday mathematical problems, such as why manhole covers are round, why phone numbers have four digits, why there are only five regular polyhedra, why all honeycombs are hexagonal, and the hidden secrets of the cycloid.

Chapter 2 covers mathematical problems in movies about mathematics, and the lives of mathematicians in movies based on real mathematicians, such as Alan Turing and Ramanujan.
And although it wasn't made into a movie, it looked into the lives of mathematically brilliant genius mathematicians such as Paul Erdős and Galois.

Chapter 3 covers Caprica's invariants, arithmetic sequences, geometric sequences, a method for guessing the day of the week without opening a calendar, Pythagorean numbers, Pascal's triangle, and the Fibonacci sequence.

In Chapter 4, we looked at the principles of generating resident registration numbers, ISBNs, and credit card numbers.

In Chapter 5, we looked at the concept and principles of magic squares, how to make odd-order and even-order magic squares, and the applications of magic squares to science and sports.

In addition, in Chapter 6, after examining the principles and history of classical ciphers, we covered the encryption and decryption processes of transposition ciphers, substitution ciphers, and substitution ciphers, and examined the encryption and decryption processes of multi-signature substitution ciphers such as Vigenere ciphers and One-time pad ciphers.

Chapter 7 covered statistics and probability problems in everyday life, and finally, Chapter 8 looked at interesting math problems at crime scenes.
