The Reality of Youth Counseling
The Reality of Youth Counseling
Description
Book Introduction
To clearly understand youth issues, we must first understand their developmental characteristics, particularly the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral characteristics of each youth from childhood to the present.
In addition, it is necessary to fully consider environmental influences that affect adolescents, such as parental and family factors, school factors, and community characteristics.
Through this, it will be possible to understand the unique adaptive/maladaptive characteristics of each individual adolescent, which are manifested through a combination of personal characteristics and environmental factors, and to provide appropriate counseling interventions.

To counsel adolescents, you must learn counseling methods that are distinct from those used in counseling adults or children. The purpose of this book is to cultivate this expertise.
Through this book, we aim to provide specific guidelines for understanding and counseling adolescents.
In other words, this book is not centered on counseling theories for counseling adolescents, but rather focuses on the 'practice of adolescent counseling' in terms of 'how to counsel adolescents well.'
