Description
Book Introduction
The immortal masterpiece of prayer, 『THE KNEELING CHRISTIAN』, considered the greatest 'prayer book' of the 20th century, points out the reality that, despite the fact that prayer is the key that opens the door to God's treasure house, the majority of Christians do not know about powerful prayer.
The author of this book, known as the anonymous Christian, says, "Prayer is the most excellent privilege and the greatest power you possess," and suggests methods of prayer for all practical growth in the spiritual life: victory over temptation, confidence and peace in the face of difficulties and dangers, serenity of soul when greatly disappointed or lost, and habitual communication with God.

In particular, this edition has uncovered and introduced the real name and history of the author, the 'Unknown Christian', who had been shrouded in mystery until then.
The British Library's recently discovered catalogue of books reports that the first edition of the book was published in 1924, stating that "Albert Richardson, author of 'How to Live a Victorious Life', also wrote 'The Kneeling Christian'."
Albert Richardson was a British pastor who served as a dedicated missionary in Nigeria and India in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and wrote a book on prayer.

Into the book
Father wants you to pray

If you love God, you must pray.
Because God wants us to pray and commands us to pray.
If we truly believe in the Lord, we cannot help but pray, and we will pray because we cannot do anything on our own without praying.
Satan would have us believe that we can accomplish much more by working on our own than by praying, by relating to people than by pleading with God.
I simply cannot understand why people do not heed the Lord's repeated invitations, commands, and promises to pray.
How can we dare to work for Christ without kneeling before Him?
Prayer is the most precious privilege we possess, the most weighty responsibility we have, and the greatest power God has placed in our hands.

Prayer is the most noble and majestic of all acts that any of God's creatures can perform.
It is the highest energy that human nature can exert.
Pray with all your heart and strength! This is the greatest achievement you can leave behind on this earth as a Christian.
When you say to your Father, “All that I am and all that I have is yours,” your Father will say to you, “All that I have is yours.”
When we lift up our souls to God through prayer, it means that we place ourselves at God's disposal.

God is always on our side.
When humans pray, it becomes God's opportunity.

Publisher's Review
Not a book about prayer, but a book that makes you pray.
A new version, translated from the latest expanded edition, reveals the real name of the 'Nameless Christian'!!

The Kneeling Christian is considered one of the greatest prayer books of the 20th century.
Because this book is not 'a book about prayer' but 'the book that makes us pray'.
There are many books about prayer, but few books inspire and motivate you to pray as much as this one does.

This book, known only to have been published in England about 80 years ago, was known only as 'Unknown Christian' due to the author's humility, but in 'The Kneeling Christian' published by Gyu Jang in October 2007, it was revealed that the author of this book was 'Albert Richardson (1868-1951),' who was a British pastor and missionary.

This fact was recently revealed based on the British Library's catalogue, which reports that "Albert Richardson, author of How to Live a Victorious Life, also wrote The Kneeling Christian," and that the first edition of the book appeared in 1924.
The recently published "The Kneeling Christian" is a translation of the latest edition published in the United States in 2007 (published by brigde-logos, rewritten and updated by Harold Chadwick). In order to respect the original intention of the author, the cover still lists the author as "Anonymous Christian."
As the author points out, “despite the fact that prayer is the key that opens the door to God’s treasure house, the reality that the majority of Christians are unaware of powerful prayer continues to this day.”
If you desire all the practical growth in your spiritual life—victory over temptation, confidence and peace in the face of adversity and danger, serenity of soul in times of great disappointment or loss, and habitual communication with God—you can now practice prayer with this book.

There are many books 'about' prayer.

However, it is rare to find a book that makes you feel the urge to pray while reading it.

This book is one that will bring you to your knees in prayer, even if you only read one chapter.

This book is a 'dangerous' and 'subversive' book for believers who are in a state of spiritual lethargy.

Because they are driven by radical prayer, they have a spirit that cannot stand not praying.

On the other hand, this book gives those who long for prayer the key to open the heavenly treasure house.

Because it allows us to pray with the right faith and enjoy the blessings of heaven to the fullest.

We can never rise higher than when we kneel.

When we pray, we see the King of kings in the heavenly palace.

Prayer is omnipotent.

Because prayer makes possible anything God can do.

Through this book, have a heart stirred in prayer!
Now, all you hot knees, gather before the throne of God!
Don't shout with your voice, cry with your knees!
Let the threshold of heaven shake with the shout of your knees!
Today the gates of heaven open before your knees.

Whatever you ask in my name, I will do it.
This is so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. _John 14:13

About the cover art

The cover painting is 'The Return of the Prodigal Son' by Dutch Christian painter Rembrandt (1606-1669).
Look at the prodigal son's rags and dirty shoes.
Also, look at the loving eyes of the father as he warmly embraces the prodigal son who is kneeling.
Now it is not the prodigal son's turn, but we who are spiritually impoverished, to return to our Father and kneel before Him.
When we kneel before our Heavenly Father, He will put a ring on our finger and give us a feast.
To the kneeling Christian, God approaches as the Father of grace and blessing.
