“Wow, there are so many picture books!”

It was a lazy and warm spring day.
After Leo had neatly groomed himself, he walked briskly through the spring valley and came across the Wind Forest Library.
Leo decided to go into the library that night because he saw children rolling around and looking at square objects, having so much fun.
From the day he fell in love with the colorful and gorgeous picture books, Leo's nights were filled with picture books.


Through the blizzard, across the endless bridge, to the ends of the universe!
“Hey, everyone get on our train!”

There was a mysterious and wonderful world inside the picture book.
Leo travels by train, leads a herd of mice by blowing a trumpet, explores the ocean, and even visits a world inhabited by monsters.
He flew through the sky on a plate of bread, and hugged a girl he met in the snow.
One day, while playing so excitedly that he lost track of time and fell into a deep sleep, a special friend came to visit Leo.

The author of this book, Jihye Choi, is the director of the ‘Wind Forest Picture Book Library’ located in Bomgol, Ganghwa Island.
It is said that her relationship with Leo began one night seven years ago.
A cat that was strolling around the garden let out a brave cry of “Wow!” and the teacher was so impressed by the sound that he started feeding the cat.
So Leo became a cat who visited the library every day.
Leo, who resembles the king of the jungle, the lion, is a curious, brave, and proud friend.
During the day, he hangs out with children who visit the library without hesitation, and at night, he visits the library with his cat friends.
Let's look at picture books together! Hoping more children will experience and appreciate the fun and emotion of picture books, and with a desire to share the joy they can experience at the library, teacher Jihye Choi wrote "Library Cat."
