Publisher's Review
Let's go on a trip to Taichung!

Taichung has a variety of attractions within its city center, but it would be a shame to miss out on the nearby tourist destinations that can be reached within an hour or two from Taichung.
The uniquely designed Luce Church, located within Donghai University in the eastern part of Taichung City, is a popular photo spot for many, and the Gomei Wetlands, nicknamed the Uyuni of Asia, offer atmospheric backlit photos with the rippling seawater in the background.

If you leave Taichung and head south for about an hour, you will find Changhua and Lugang, small towns with lots to see.
Janghwa is home to the Bagua Mountain Buddha, the largest Buddha statue in Asia, and was the setting for the hit Korean film "The Girl We Loved Back Then," and you can find filming locations all over the city.

Lugang played an important role as a port city in the past.
The old buildings and streets from over 300 years ago are well preserved, so you can feel like you're traveling through time as you explore every nook and cranny of the alleys. You can also enjoy a small town trip that is pleasing to both the eyes and the mouth with the many delicious Xiaochi (小吃) snack shops that are available everywhere.

Heading southwest from Taichung, you'll find Checheng, a small town accessible by local train, and Sun Moon Lake, one of the eight scenic spots in Taiwan.
Cheocheong is a village that grew through the forestry industry in the past, and traces of this can be felt in the buildings throughout the village, starting from the train station. Cheocheong's beautiful and modest scenery, with its large mountains and small lakes, is definitely worth a visit.

Taichung, located in central Taiwan, which stretches long from north to south, is a city that is somewhat unfamiliar to Koreans.
When people think of traveling to Taiwan, many people think of Taipei, and in fact, Taipei is the most visited Taiwanese travel destination by Korean travelers.
Taichung, which was known only to those who had planned a trip to Taiwan or had been to Taiwan, began to become known as it began to be featured on travel variety shows.

So, what kind of place is Taichung, Taiwan's rising tourist destination?
Taichung is the second largest city in Taiwan, with the second largest population after Taipei.
In particular, Taichung is home to the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, the only national art museum in Taiwan and the largest in Asia, as well as the National Opera House, Taiwan's first opera-only theater with a unique appearance, earning it the nickname "City of Culture and Arts."

In addition to its large, modern buildings, Taichung also boasts nationally designated historic sites like Taichung Train Station, which is steeped in modern and contemporary history; temples and shrines like the Confucius Temple and Bogek Temple; and Rainbow Village, with its unique murals.
There are also many universities, so commercial districts and night markets have formed around the universities located throughout the city, allowing you to enjoy a variety of things to see and eat.

Taichung is a city where you can enjoy gourmet food just as much as Tainan, which is called the city of gourmet food.
Throughout the city, you can find delicious local food in shabby but affordable local eateries, and in modern and trendy restaurants and cafes, you can enjoy delicious and familiar fusion and modern food, drinks, and desserts, and have a delicious trip to Taichung.

Travel Blog Taichung visited various tourist attractions and restaurants in Taichung, walking and running day and night to capture and report on the real scene.
It is also packed with practical and useful travel information so that even first-time travelers to Taiwan and Taichung, as well as those who do not know Chinese well, can easily enjoy independent travel.
If you're planning a visit to Taichung and ready to enjoy it, let's go with Travel Blog Taichung.
