The 'Learning Our Classics through Plays' series was researched and written to provide an in-depth understanding of various classics.
In “Heungbu is Amazing,” an adaptation of the pansori novel “Heungbu and Nolbu,” there are lines that utilize pansori, and pansori was also used for sound effects.
As children perform the play, they can learn how pansori expresses the same part of the content.
In “I Am the Best,” an adaptation of “The Story of Seven Sisters in Gyujung,” Malttugi, who satirizes the incompetence of the nobles in Bongsan Talchum, and the Samulnori troupe, who livens up the play, appear, and in “Give That Nobleman a Dog!”, an adaptation of “The Tale of the Yangban,” Chorangi leads the play.
