Protect your heart and embrace your child
Description
Book Introduction
How can we raise our children healthily? This is a common concern and concern for all parents, and a wealth of information is plentiful.
However, as this is my first time raising a child as a mother, I cannot help but worry deeply about the first choices, such as when it would be best to start sending my child to daycare, whether I should send my child to daycare, kindergarten, or an English kindergarten.
Moreover, the child's developmental status and personality are different, and it also depends on whether the family is a dual-income household or a stay-at-home mother. Also, it is even more difficult to choose between sending the child to a place close to home or a place far away.
Regarding this, the author said, “When you first visit, the beautifully decorated classrooms and up-to-date curriculum, as well as the fancy names like play school, English kindergarten, and special class, make it feel special, but what is far more important than the names or appearance are the people and education.
The expertise and attitude of teachers who meet children directly, care for them, understand their feelings, and provide developmentally appropriate education are key factors in a child's growth.
“No matter how good the environment, parish, and program are, if there is no teacher who can read the child’s heart and mind and communicate warmly, the child cannot truly learn and grow,” he advises.

Publisher's Review
A parent's values and child education for a good life, according to an expert in early childhood education.
The author, who has been dedicated to early childhood education for over 30 years, majored in early childhood education in college and entered the field of education as a kindergarten teacher. Since then, he has served as the director of a public daycare center and operated an English kindergarten for 10 years, and currently operates a public daycare center.
As an early childhood education expert, the author, who constantly strives for research on children's education, holds a doctorate in cultural studies and opened a "Parents' Happiness School" for parents of daycare centers. He is also active in the "Citizens' Coalition for the Prevention of Game and Smartphone Addiction" as part of social practice for parents and children in the digital age.
The author, who has extensive practical experience and academic theory, has gathered teachings from Eastern and Western classics and the Bible during a time of reflection on 'love', including advice on the values of parents who lead a good life and on raising children.
Just by looking at the table of contents, you can see that the book covers a wide range of topics that parents are interested in and curious about, including "My Child's Education is the Hardest Part of It," "When Should I Start Sending My Child to Daycare?" "Why My Child Doesn't Want to Go to Daycare," "Plato's View of English Kindergartens," "Short Conversations Build a Child's Lifelong Literacy," and "Children See Their Mother's Face Before Their Smartphones."
Professor Heo Young-rim said in the book's recommendation, "Existing parenting education books are presented to us as answers that are not correct answers, such as 'What should I do when my child is like this?'
This book is not that kind of book,” “It is a book that looks into a mother’s heart, recognizes her emotions, and actively intervenes in childcare.” “They say there is no right answer or royal road to childcare, but it is a book that shows how each child is different and what kind of flexibility a mother must have to respond in each case.” She recommends reading it.
This book, which depicts moments of growth between children, parents, teachers, and families through the warm eyes of an educator and single mother who raised two daughters, talks about 'how to protect your heart' rather than perfect parenting methods.
Above all, it conveys to us the simple but profound realization that 'children are happy only when parents are happy.'
I hope this book will serve as a guide for each family to become stronger and filled with warm love.
