The power of binders that govern performance
Description
Book Introduction
If you dream of a success different from others, you must develop the habit of documenting your life. While some people rise to the ranks of professionals by increasing their performance and productivity, there are also amateurs who bounce from place to place, their resumes in tatters. Differences in performance under similar environments and conditions ultimately stem from differences in self-management methods. "The Power of Binders to Control Performance" captures the author, Gyu-hyung Kang, who has consistently practiced record management, goal management, time management, task management, knowledge management, and reading management through binders he has used for over 20 years. Only if you train and practice consistently will you be able to become a specialist who can dominate your performance. Watch the video "The Power of Binders to Control Performance" *Click* |

Into the book
How can I complete my work flawlessly and without accidents? How can I efficiently use my limited time to accomplish a multitude of tasks? That's right! If I can't be Superman, I need to change my approach! First and foremost, I needed a tool that could thoroughly inspect my work without causing any problems.
So I started writing down my weekly schedule in the binder the company gave me.
After work, I would drag my exhausted body back to the office and start drawing up my weekly plan in the middle of the night.
Since computers were not yet common, the best way to create a table that was easy for me to write in was to draw it directly with a pen.
I started keeping a record of the time by copying it, using it for a few weeks, revising it, and making it again.
Various forms and formats were created, such as work logs, monthly plans, annual plans, and factory management logs, and a system was created to effectively manage work.
Not only did work productivity increase, but important process checks were not missed, allowing for flawless work completion without accidents.
--- p.29
Even if you look at life as a whole, you need a halftime.
Even during the year, it would be a good idea to have a half-time MT to evaluate the first half of the year and revise the goals for the second half.
I also recommend taking a half-time break after lunch to find a quiet room or tea house and review your goals.
I ask myself if I am too tired, if my body and mind are worn out.
It is important not to try to do better at that time, but to listen to the whistle in your mind and stop.
Go to a secret place that only I know.
Check and re-evaluate your goals! It doesn't matter if you lose in the first half.
It's okay if you lived like an idiot the first half.
Because there is a possibility of a comeback in the second half.
Find your inner space and leave now! --- p.117
The small reading group that started with me and three or four others has now grown to over 100 members.
'Butterfly' is an abbreviation of 'originating from me' and is a symbol of change (egg-larva-pupa-butterfly) and a being that gives hope to flowers.
The first departure of the Reading Forum Butterfly was from Yangjae Butterfly.
This meeting starts every Saturday at 6:40 AM.
Everyone is surprised and feels pressured at 6:40 in the morning, but 50 to 70 people consistently gather every week.
Looking at the members of the group, people of various generations communicate, from elementary school students to those in their 60s.
Occupations are also diverse, including company employees, CEOs, self-employed people, teachers, principals, housewives, and civil servants.
The Yangjae Butterfly Festival takes place in Seocho-dong, Seoul (1 minute from Yangjae Station), but participants come from all over the country to watch.
Even overseas Koreans from Daegu, Busan, Gwangju, Jeju, China, the United States, and the United Kingdom come to visit.
Yangjae Butterfly is famous for being picky when it comes to selecting books.
We select books that are practical and self-help books, but have been verified and are books that we do not want our competitors to see.
I confidently say that if you read all the books selected so far, you can achieve success in social life by five years. --- p.277
'What is the reason for my existence?'
We must ask and answer the fundamental question, 'What is the purpose and mission of doing this work?'
Occupations are discussed in English as job, calling, and vocation.
If you approach work as a job, you only have to 'pretend' to work hard when your boss or superior is around.
However, if you do your work with the meaning of a calling or vocation, you will do your best and put your heart and soul into it every moment, regardless of whether anyone is watching or not.
The result is known to everyone.
Even if you get a job with superficial interview skills and techniques or by using tricks to impress the interviewer, you won't be able to last long.
As you prepare for employment, you should look back on your entire life, assess your identity capital, and use it as an opportunity to build your true competitiveness.
Therefore, we must turn the difficult obstacles of unemployment, re-employment, and job search into stepping stones to a meaningful life.
