PRISMOf (Quarterly): Special Issue [2025]
Description
Book Introduction
Prism of is a quarterly film magazine that contains various perspectives on a single film in each issue.
It is a compound word of Prism and Of, and it means containing the prism of movies and the prism of people who watch movies.
We aim to create a magazine with collection value by re-examining works from various angles to expand the audience's cinematic experience.
Prism of 2025 Special Issue [Famyo]
Now that the phrase "crisis of the film industry" has become familiar, the occult film [The Grave] has overcome the limitations of being a maniacal genre and attracted 10 million viewers.
Prism of 2025 Special Issue [Pamyeo] focused on the extraordinary energy of [Pamyeo], which drew countless people to movie theaters even during the recession.
It started from the history of Korea and Korean film that made [Pamgyo] possible for him, and from the world of director Jang Jae-hyun's works.
Afterwards, we explored every nook and cranny of the film [The Grave] in a table of contents organized according to the Five Elements, and even delved into the social, political, and artistic context surrounding the film in contemporary Korea.
We invite you on a journey to discover the charm of [Pamyeo] that has captivated us all.
