Into the book
Humans can only think and think
You can become more mature

“Man is but a reed, the weakest in nature, but he is a thinking reed.”
“L'homme n'est qu'un roseau, le plus faible de la nature, mais c'est un roseau pensant.”

Viktor Frankl, a psychologist, was born in Vienna, Austria in 1905, was Jewish, and a Holocaust survivor.
He realized the frailty of human beings while enduring the agony of death in a Nazi concentration camp during World War II.
Even in this suffering, he strived to find meaning in life and existence, acknowledging his own weaknesses and using them to grow internally and become a stronger person.
His book, "Man's Search for Meaning," which documents this process, became an international bestseller.
In this book, Viktor Frankl tells us the truth that when suffering is unavoidable, the quality of life depends on how we accept that suffering and give it meaning.

Frankl's insights remain deeply relevant today.
Advances in science and technology have made our lives incredibly convenient, but we are still powerless against the power of nature.
Natural disasters, diseases, and other such events remind us of how vulnerable humans are in the face of nature.
Even though humans may seem powerful and masters of this world, we must not forget that we are infinitely small in front of nature.
But even though we are so small in the face of nature, we are 'thinking' reeds.
The true greatness of a human being lies not in physical strength, but in the ability to 'think', to think, reflect, and accumulate wisdom, as Viktor Frankl said.
The human ability to think and reason is what enables us to adapt to our environment, solve problems, overcome crises, and mature as human beings.

According to Pascal, man is the weakest of all creatures, and it does not take the entire universe to arm itself to defeat him.
A single wisp of steam, a single drop of water is enough to kill a human being.
But even if the universe defeats man, man is more noble than his killer.
Because humans know that they must die someday and that the universe is stronger than them, but the universe is completely unaware of this.
Therefore, Pascal says, human dignity lies in the ability to think for oneself.

Even though we may be physically weak in the face of the vast and merciless nature, we can remain mentally strong.
Like Viktor Frankl, if you don't give up in the face of adversity and have the will and wisdom to solve problems, you can overcome any difficulty.

│ Thoughts │
Even though humans may seem weak like reeds, they become strong through their thoughts.
