Sudoku has recently become a worldwide craze.
Sudoku is a number puzzle in which the numbers 1 through 9 are written without overlapping in each square of a square with 9 squares each, for a total of 81 squares, and in nine smaller squares with 3 squares each, for a total of 9 squares.
Some have praised Sudoku as being more fun than the Tankrim puzzles created by puzzle genius Sam Lloyd, and that is no exaggeration.
This is because the game rules are very simple, so anyone can easily try it, but it has the great appeal of being an intelligent game that is not easy to solve.
Sudoku is said to have originated from a puzzle called the Latin square created by Swiss mathematician Remington Euler.
