Be yourself, without fear
Description
Book Introduction
Anita Moorjani, author of the New York Times bestseller “And Then Everything Changed,”
Encouragement and inspiration for those struggling with empathic tendencies like myself in the past!
This is the third book by Anita Moorjani, author of the best-selling book "And Then Everything Changed," which has been translated into over 45 languages and sold over a million copies worldwide, and who has been selected as one of the "100 Most Influential Spiritual People in the World" by the prestigious British journal [Watkins] for eight consecutive years.
In this book, she talks about empaths, who have highly developed intuition, are good at sensing other people's thoughts, feelings, and energies, have great empathy and sensitivity, are kind and compassionate, but because of these very characteristics, they are easily swayed by other people's energies, have difficulty adapting to a world full of harsh energies and feel defective, or are overly considerate of others and have difficulty being true to their own feelings.
Empaths often feel drained or even ill due to their tendency to care for others more than themselves, so she advises asking these questions to raise your life energy.
“What am I holding on to that I don’t want?” “What have I been saying ‘yes’ to when I should have said ‘no’ to?” “Why do I find it difficult to accept things?” “If I were healthy, what would I like to do right now?” “What makes me happy?” and so on.
I also included a checklist to help you reflect on when and how you feel your life energy surges, regardless of social norms.
Unlike previous books on empaths and HSPs, this book does not focus solely on how they can “set strong boundaries to protect themselves.”
Rather, it encourages empaths to learn to respect and nurture their own unique talents, then go out into the world and shine their light as empaths, becoming role models for others.
This book also contains 34 test questions to help you determine your empath tendencies.
And at the end of each chapter, there are simple yet powerful meditations to help you "be yourself, fearlessly."

Into the book
This book deals with expansion, liberation, and connecting with one's own divinity.
It deals with speaking out, respecting yourself, and loving yourself.
It talks about how to accept your entire being and how to gradually let go of what is not you.
It's not about doing something, it's about undoing something that was already done.
I encourage you to learn to honor and nurture the unique gifts you possess as an empath, then step out and shine your light as an empath, take on leadership roles, and be a role model!
--- From "Entering"
“Very different from others.” I find it difficult even to write this sentence, because the profound realization I gained from my near-death experience was that on a transcendental level, we are all made of the same essence.
When we leave this body, we are all pure essence, pure love, pure divinity, and pure spirituality.
We are all connected.
But to truly feel that connection within this body, we must accept these differences that are unique to us.
Accepting that we are different from one another is respecting the multifaceted consciousness of all that is.
--- p.1
We must realize that when we try to please others, even to the point of overdoing it, we begin to give away our power to others.
You start doing what others want you to do or what you think will be recognized by them.
… … We also lose our power and connection with our inner guide when we become addicted to the approval of others.
This is the blind spot that arises from the attitude of trying to avoid blame.
--- p.2
We all have egos.
Ego is not bad in itself.
It gives you a sense of self.
A healthy ego protects you and makes you strong.
Also, because we have an ego, we can have confidence in ourselves. … … On the other hand, being self-centered means being self-centered and only looking out for one’s own interests, which usually harms others.
Self-centered people often have difficulty empathizing with how others or the world feel and what they need.
--- p.4
Through my near-death experience, I learned that the ego has a great purpose.
I needed an ego to accept my individuality and uniqueness.
The ego helped me love myself and trust my inner mystic, and not fall for the naysayers who dismissed my experiences as mere pie-in-the-sky nonsense.
Ego also put the brakes on my habit of criticizing myself too late and giving my power away to others, both of which have become important life lessons for me.
--- p.4
We are all spiritual.
How could it be otherwise? We come from Spirit, and to Spirit we return.
We don't have to 'try' to become more spiritual.
We just need to realize that we are born spiritual beings and are innately connected to our divine source or inner mystic.
When we take time to be still and quiet our minds, to do nothing for 10 or 15 minutes and just focus on our breath, we can return to our center.
When we do nothing and focus only on our breath, we can receive guidance from the inner mystic or divine.
--- p.5
In fact, what we need to know is that it is more important to love and value ourselves first.
Without self-love, no matter how much spiritual study we do, we will still live as fools. … … When we love and value ourselves, we no longer feel the need to go out of our way to forgive the offender.
Sometimes we have to turn familiar spiritual dogmas upside down.
For example, when someone tries to hurt you or mistreat you, the first thing you should do is not to blame yourself, not to force yourself to love that person unconditionally when you don't feel like it, or not to judge yourself as unspiritual for not being able to do so.
You have to take care of your emotional health first. … … Loving someone unconditionally doesn't mean you let them treat you like shit.
You can love someone and still set strong boundaries.
--- p.5
If I had not listened to the voice of my higher self and only listened to the voice of my fear-based mind, I would not be doing what I am doing now.
Perhaps I was stuck in the frequency of the victim mentality and the victim mentality.
But I knew that such rituals had led me to cancer before, and I didn't want to go down that path again.
So this time I chose to follow the voice of my inner self, and it opened the way for me to love, strength, and courage.
--- p.7
Once I let go of my fear of being judged by those who believed money was not spiritual, the world responded by supporting what I was doing.
I truly believe that the more we believe in ourselves and know our worth, the more money will flow to us.
This frees us to do more for people, for ourselves, and for the world as a whole.
--- p.8
What most people miss is that the big corporations that control the money and the empaths who don't charge a price for their work and do everything for free are two sides of the same coin.
That coin is the belief that there is not enough money in the world to go around equally to everyone.
Empaths who struggle to make themselves martyrs may point fingers at greedy corporations, but they are actually living under the same belief system of 'lack'. ... ... The best thing you can do for yourself and those around you is to believe that money can be a good thing and to be a conduit for it to flow through you and help others.
--- p.8
When we are afraid of disappointing people, we end up giving them what they want.
The fear of disappointing others causes us to continue to conform to their dictates.
Now I know that when I say “no” to an unhealthy relationship, I’m actually making room for healthy relationships.
Or, sometimes, a person who was in an unhealthy relationship realizes the value of that relationship and tries to make it healthy.
--- p.9
What I learned very clearly during my near-death experience was that it wasn't just my thoughts that influenced the creation of my reality, but also how I respected and loved myself for who I am.
There's only one thing I have to do, and that's just be myself.
Without fear.
Being yourself without fear… means you don’t need the approval of others to feel worthy.
It means you don't have to use illness as an excuse to take care of yourself, or justify being yourself.
It's simply knowing that you are worthy and worthy without having to prove yourself.
--- p.11
The images I had on my vision board were completely different from the life I was living now.
I couldn't have imagined a life like this.
I didn't even know this kind of life existed! So don't limit yourself.
Don't limit yourself to specific goals, detailed pictures of your desired future, or precise results of what you're doing now.
Let's leave it open-ended.
There is only one thing you need to do: express yourself fully in this moment.
It's about living in the moment without fear.
It's about finding your joy and expanded self in the present moment.
It deals with speaking out, respecting yourself, and loving yourself.
It talks about how to accept your entire being and how to gradually let go of what is not you.
It's not about doing something, it's about undoing something that was already done.

Why She Wrote a Book for Sensitive Souls
This is the third book by Anita Moorjani, the author of the best-selling book “And Then Everything Changed,” which has been translated into over 45 languages and sold over a million copies worldwide, and who has been selected as one of the “100 Most Influential Spiritual People in the World” by the prestigious British journal “Watkins” for eight consecutive years.
Empaths have all the characteristics of highly sensitive people (HSPs), but experience them much more intensely. Like HSPs, they not only feel the positive and negative energy around them, but also absorb it directly into their bodies.
They are also interested in the inner world and the spiritual world, and are born with the ability to heal others.
They find it extremely difficult to see others in pain, and they literally "feel" what they're feeling. As a result, they can be great healers for others, but they often tend to deplete their own life energy.
Author Anita Moorjani had a remarkable near-death experience in February 2006 when she fell into a coma for thirty hours while in the final stages of lymphoma (lymphoma).
In that state, she realizes that she is expanding and becoming one with everything, that even if the body dies, the existence of the nation itself does not disappear, that we are all connected and part of an infinite and vast tapestry, and that heaven is not a 'place' but a 'state'.
And he chooses to return to his body, following his deceased father's words, "Go back and live your life without fear."
She knew that when she returned, she would be completely cured of her cancer, and indeed, within five weeks of waking from her coma, the cancer cells miraculously disappeared completely.
Returning from the dead, Anita begins her second life, sharing what she has learned with the world and believing it is her calling and destiny to help people spread the message of self-love—to be themselves fearlessly and live their truth proudly.
When she published her first book, And Everything Changed, about her near-death experience, her cancer recovery, and the wisdom she gained from the other world, she suddenly found herself living an incredible life, one she never imagined possible, with a global following and a profound impact, helping others heal.
But this life wasn't always happy for her.
Before her near-death experience, she was someone who was invisible to everyone, someone who suppressed her emotions and desires to please others and secretly hid her light.
Because I was so sensitive, I often experienced other people's emotional pain or physical suffering with my own body.
But after the book was published, people flocked to her for wisdom and comfort, for healing information, and to connect with her.
Letters and emails poured in from people wanting to invite her to speak to them.
“I really wanted to help every single person who reached out to me, but that wasn’t possible,” she said.
Because the country was one person.
“And the fact that I might not live up to someone’s expectations or disappoint them made me suffer more” (Chapter 1).
Then, by chance, he met a Costa Rican shaman and heard from him, “You are absorbing too much energy that is not yours.”
“That’s not your job.
It's not your job to sacrifice yourself to save others, nor is it your job to convince those who don't believe you.
All you have to do is empower yourself, stay connected to your center, and by being there, inspire others to know that healing is possible. … … This second chance you have been given is a gift.
“Don’t waste your talent.” (Chapter 1)
Hearing the shaman's words, Anita is reminded of why she got cancer in the past (Anita has revealed in previous works that the cancer was caused by a lack of self-love and the energy of fear), and that she cannot heal or help others by sacrificing herself.
This begs the question: "How can I protect myself while still keeping my heart open, helping myself and others? How can people as sensitive to life as I am empower themselves?"
In the process, you will come to accept that you are an 'empath', and at the same time, you will come to deeply understand why 'living as yourself' was so difficult in the past.
From then on, she began asking everyone at every lecture to raise their hand if they thought they were an empath. As she saw 80 to 90 percent of the audience raise their hand, she felt a strong need to live as an empath and develop the tools necessary to live as one.
This book is the product of that.
“The insights I gained from my near-death experience made it clear to me that I had a unique mission to create guidance for empaths.
I'm convinced that not knowing how to live as an empath (I didn't even know I was one!) and not knowing that I was absorbing other people's energy (and hiding my true self) at my own expense is what killed me.
I have personally experienced what can happen when I let go of all self-judgment and self-doubt, when I no longer seek love and acceptance from outside myself.
I also learned that the key is to embrace your entire being, to live your life fully, fearlessly, and without hesitation.” (Chapter 1)
● The world needs healing more than ever.
Now is the time for empaths
It's time to reveal yourself.
Empathy is the 'new normal' and the 'new strength'.
What Anita Moorjani realized in her near-death experience was that beyond this body, we are all made of the same essence and are all connected as one.
However, as long as we are in the flesh, we cannot help but acknowledge that we are different from one another, and empaths need to accept that they are very different from other people.
That's when you can stop trying so hard to protect and care for those around you, even at the expense of your own happiness.
“In my case, it took a very dramatic experience, clinical death, to fully develop my abilities as an empath, but you don’t have to die to learn how to harness your empathic power and protect yourself from the problems that come with it.
In this book, I will share the methods I have used, my experiences, and the stories of those I have worked with, to help you become your authentic self—your sensual, empathetic, and majestic self.” (Chapter 1)
Unlike other books on empaths and HSPs, this book doesn't focus solely on how they can "set strong boundaries to protect themselves."
Rather, it encourages empaths to learn to respect and nurture their own unique talents, then go out into the world and shine their light as empaths, becoming role models for others.
To that end, Anita shares the information, practices, and tools that have helped her embrace and nurture her gifts as an empath.
― The courage to follow your intuition instead of asking for permission or catering to the moods of others.
― How to protect yourself by strengthening your energy and developing a healthy ego
― Embrace your innate talents as an empath and express them vocally.
― Achieving a balance between giving and receiving, which is particularly difficult for empaths.
― Let go of the guilt that comes with saying “no” and live confidently and without fear.
― Do not blame yourself, and take care of and love others based on self-love.
―Reclaim your power and connect with your inner mystic or higher self.
― Accept money and abundance without guilt, and become a conduit for enriching the world.
― Expansion and Liberation, and How to Connect with the Divine
― How empaths can be new light and role models in a harsh world.
This book also contains 34 test questions to help you determine your empath tendencies.
And at the end of each chapter, there are simple yet powerful meditations to help you "be yourself, fearlessly."
Encouragement and inspiration for those struggling with empathic tendencies like myself in the past!
