Teacher Ha Yu-jeong of Anywhere School, who teaches without losing strength
5-step metacognitive study method!

For both children and parents, when it comes to dictation, they are more interested in the score they get rather than the systematic process of studying it.
Dictation, which is essential in the process of learning Hangul, is the most important learning stage where the child learns to distinguish and recognize the letters he or she knows and does not know on his or her own, rather than memorizing and writing out the grade table in order.
If you skip this step without learning properly, you will not be able to improve your child's Korean language recognition, spelling, or spacing skills.

Teacher Ha Yu-jeong, an elementary school teacher with 19 years of experience, realized that children often make mistakes in dictation, and that it is crucial to prioritize children's learning to clearly understand what they do not know. This led her to develop her own '5-step Metacognitive Dictation Learning Method.'
From levels 1 to 30, you can check and learn your skills by watching the dictation videos in which teacher Ha Yu-jeong personally dictates the dictation in this book, one level per day, and in the appendix, you can listen to the voice of Gomji dictating in the practical dictation notebook and practice dictation as if you were taking a dictation test at school.
And you can check what you have learned by correcting your mistakes while grading yourself with a separate 'Dictation Grade Sheet'.
The revised edition includes sentences from the 2022 revised textbook, which will be applied from 2024, allowing for advance study before entering school.

Publisher's Review
▣ 5-unit structure considering difficulty level

Considering the difficulty level of single letters frequently used in daily life, it is composed of 5 sections: basic vowels and consonants - representative final consonants - complex vowels - double final consonants - dictation of textbook sentences.
Because we study from basic letters to letters with complex consonants step by step, you can intuitively identify the parts that your child is having difficulty with.
Double consonants, complex vowels, punctuation, and spacing are areas that children find particularly difficult and confusing.
Since you will likely make mistakes repeatedly in the difficult parts, study them intensively to improve your dictation skills.

▣ Master dictation in just 30 days with 5-step metacognition learning!

By repeating steps 1 through 5 for each level, your child will be able to recognize on his or her own which letters he or she has fully mastered and which letters require further study.
In Step 1, you will watch a video of teacher Ha Yu-jeong reciting the text directly and focus on the teacher's mouth shape and sounds to write it down without practice.
After grading the dictation by looking at the grade sheet, in the second step, distinguish between known and unknown letters.
And after learning them word by word, in the third stage, we focus on the letters we don't know by using them in sentences, and in the fourth stage, we check what we have learned by becoming a teacher and grading the content that Gomji has dictated.
Finally, in step 5, you listen to what Gomji says in the practical dictation notebook provided as an appendix and write it down as if you were taking a test at school.
The 5-step metacognitive learning method is the most effective learning method to solidify what you know and recognize what you don't know.

▣ Includes a video of Ha Yu-jeong, a current elementary school teacher, reciting dictation.

《1st Grade Dictation》 Level 1 contains 30 dictation videos recited by teacher Ha Yu-jeong.
Just like when a teacher actually reads out dictation at school, you can see the teacher's mouth shape and hear the sound in the video, so you can practice dictation as if it were real, not just practice.
Additionally, the video will point out the pronunciation of letters, punctuation marks, and spacing that the teacher should pay close attention to, helping you focus on which parts to listen to.
If you listen to it repeatedly, you will be able to write it down without getting nervous in real life.
