Book Introduction
A picture map for children curious about Korea

Following the publication of "Escape the Room: Global Children's World Map," which quenched the curiosity of children who were curious about every corner of the world, a South Korea edition has been published for children who want to know every corner of our country.
"Escape from the Corner of the Room: Global Children's Map of Korea" is an illustrated map book that captures the nature, history, and culture of every corner of Korea.
We've chosen a large format to help you see all of our country at a glance, and we've introduced each of our 17 administrative districts one by one.
When you open the large book, you will see hundreds of pictures of mountains, rivers, world heritage sites, national treasures, natural monuments, landmarks, special products, food, festivals, and more.
All information is presented graphically on a map, making it feel as if you are looking down from above, and you can indirectly experience the local culture of other regions without having to go there in person.
In addition, we did not leave out 'Hanyang City Wall', which all children in South Korea should know, 'Dokdo', the easternmost part of South Korea, and 'North Korea', the northernmost part of the Korean Peninsula.

Why not venture outside your hometown and explore the culture and history of another city, exploring its diverse terrain and even improving your geographic knowledge? Our character guides, Daehani, Mini, and their dog, Cory, will make your trip even more enjoyable.
Whether you're planning experiential learning, wanting to learn about our country's history, or curious about local festivals, "Escape from the Corner: Global Children's Map of Korea" will be a great guide.

Publisher's Review
It's full of humanities and geography common sense that Korean children must know.

By taking a broad look at the town and surrounding area where they live, children can understand our society and feel proud as members of the Republic of Korea.
Just by observing the pictures densely drawn on the maps in this book, you can have fun learning about the locations of mountains and rivers, history and culture, and the lives of the people.
It will help you develop an interest in our country's history, culture, and geography, which are taught in elementary school, and will also be of great help in studying social studies.

You can learn more about Hanyang City Wall and Dokdo.

It includes everything from Hanyang, the center of Seoul, to Dokdo, the easternmost island of South Korea, and even North Korea, the northernmost part of the Korean Peninsula.
Within the Hanyang City Wall, which surrounded the center of Hanyang during the Joseon Dynasty, there are many UNESCO-recognized World Heritage sites.
Go deep into the Sadamun Gate and experience the history and traditions of the Republic of Korea.
Additionally, we have included Dokdo in greater detail, allowing us to take a closer look at Dokdo, our territory, which we had only seen in pictures.
Finally, let's learn about North Korea's cultural heritage and natural environment, which we often overlook, and think about the future of the Korean Peninsula and its unification.

A cross-country trip with Daehan, Min, and Cory

Daehan, Min, and their dog, Cory, are the travel guides in this book.
The three of them served as friendly guides who provided explanations at the children's eye level.
Have fun exploring our country with the Three Musketeers.
Your trip across the country will be even more enjoyable and exciting, especially as you search for Cory hidden throughout the map.

Be sure to remember the national symbol of the Republic of Korea

As you travel throughout our country, you will discover countless cultural heritage sites that are of great value and worthy of preservation.
As we boast a long history and tradition, our pride as citizens of the Republic of Korea grows even higher.
At the end of the book, you can see the national symbols representing our country at a glance.
Be sure to remember the five basic symbols that all citizens of the Republic of Korea should know: the Taegeukgi, the national anthem, and the Rose of Sharon!
