It was a dream where I couldn't get in trouble for loving someone.
It was a dream where I couldn't get scolded for loving someone.
Description
Book Introduction
“To me who abandoned you, and to you who abandoned me”
From Kihyungdo to Park Jun, from Choi Seungja to Lee Je-ni—Singing the Scenes of Love's End

Just as our love is all different, the ending of our love is also different.
They are all different, but they all hurt.
There is poetry at the end of love, whether it passes or stays.
__Park Jun (poet)

A poetry collection commemorating the 1st anniversary of the launch of the first and best poetry curation app, 'Poetry Day'.
We have collected together the farewell poems of 55 poets, including Baek Seok, Choi Seung-ja, Ki Hyeong-do, Lee Je-ni, Park Jun, Hwang In-chan, and Jacques Prévert, who have been cherished by readers.
There are many anthologies of poetry that deal with the thrill and climax of love, but poetry is even more urgent in the moment of excruciating loneliness that follows a breakup than during the sweetness of love.
"It was a dream where I didn't get scolded for loving" contains as many endings of love as the beginnings of love.
This collection of poems offers comfort to all those who have lost love, and encourages readers to savor the whirlwind of emotions that come after a breakup, including loss, regret, anger, and realization, through poetry.

Poetry Day, a curation app that colors readers' daily lives with poetry, is launching a poetry collection to celebrate its first anniversary and surpassing 200,000 users.
Over the past year, Poetry Day, which has been sending greetings through poetry through various curations (Poem of the Day/Poems recommended by theme/Poetry Day's selection), has received a warm response from over 200,000 users.
Poetry Day, which has garnered attention not only from widely known poets such as Shin Kyeong-rim and Jeong Ho-seung, but also from recommendations from Kang Daniel, has transcended various generations and embraced not only existing literature readers but also readers who have been distant from poetry for a while or have not had the opportunity to encounter poetry in the past.
To repay the support that exceeded expectations, we are publishing a collection of poems titled “It was a dream where I didn’t get scolded for loving” with the theme of “love,” the keyword most searched for by users.
This curated anthology of poems is unique in that it addresses the universally appealing theme of love, yet focuses on the end of love rather than its beginning.

The catastrophe of love as seen by poets of youth

"Only useless beauty will save us." _Ijeni, "The Black Horse on the Way to the Moon"
“It’s a falling summer.
"I'm forgetting you while doing stupid things" _Jo Yeon-ho, "Summer"
“The sun set without me even thinking about you.
“Flowers bloom even after I completely forget you” _Kim Yong-taek “Wet clothes dry”

"It was a dream where I didn't get scolded even if I loved" is composed of four parts about the emotions that come after a breakup. If you quietly follow the path that love has taken with the poem, you will naturally feel the purification of your emotions.
When faced with a breakup that we can never accept, we spit out harsh words like, “If I kill you, can I become you?” (Kim Geun, “To the Outside”), and we try our best to erase the person who left us, saying, “I’m doing stupid things //and forgetting you” (Jo Yeon-ho, “Summer”).
Even so, he can't help but miss someone "as if it were a terrible thing" (Go Young, "Gorani"), but in the end, he says goodbye to his past love, saying, "You forget me, and I forget you too" (Choi Jeong-rye, "Vague Light") and "Goodbye, my love, please take care" (Park Nam-joon, "Letter from a Distant River").
We need time to mourn our loss to gain the strength to love again.
The arrangement of "It was a dream where I couldn't get scolded even if I loved", which depicts the process of going through a breakup over time, is impressive, and the sense of balance that harmoniously arranges long-loved poems and hidden masterpieces is also outstanding.

Poetry's invitation to readers unfamiliar with literature

“There was a time when I, when I was with you, kept liking myself more and more.” _Lee Young-kwang, “Like the Wind in the High Sky”
"I ended up forgiving that one person." _Chun Yang-hee, "The Long-Necked Bird"
"I once forgot you. I could never love myself like that." _Nam Jin-woo, "I once loved you."
"When the flowers covered the small yard of two pyeong with blood, my despair ended, as if it were a joke." _Lee Seong-bok, "The End of That Summer"

Another thing to note about this book is the careful devices it provides to help readers appreciate it.
The poets (Park Shin-gyu, Park Jun, and Shin Mi-na) who participated as members of the Poetry Day Planning Committee painstakingly selected passages that would resonate with the sensibilities of the younger generation so that even readers unfamiliar with literature could read poetry without giving up.
These verses, like the North Star shining above the heads of pilgrims, guide readers who have just taken their first steps into the world of poetry so that they do not lose their way.
The journey of separation sung by 55 poets is more than enough to revive the forgotten beauty of poetry.
The comfort they give at the end of love is warm.

Words of participation

"It was a dream where I didn't get scolded even if I loved" contains 55 poems that trace the path where love ended.
There is mourning for a love gone by, there is wet memories, there is denial and anger, there is a broken heart.
There is a calm that has just subsided, followed by a coolness and disillusionment.
Just as our love is all different, the ending of our love is also different.
They are all different, but they all hurt.
There is poetry at the end of love, whether it passes or stays.
_Park Jun (poet)
