Book Introduction
“We sell the math you need for the future!”
Mysterious mathematics that transcends future science

These days, we are witnessing visions that seemed out of science fiction movies becoming reality.
With the advent of artificial intelligence, our daily lives have undergone tremendous changes.
Every time I hear news about space exploration, whether it's a rocket launch or a photo of a black hole, I feel a sense of excitement and thrill.
How will the world change in the future? How can we better predict the future? The key to developing the foresight and creativity to foresee the future lies in none other than mathematics.

《The Future-Visible Math Store》 is a book that uses the language of mathematics to look into the world that future science will change, set in a virtual store.
The 10 Math Stories, which are delivered to guests struggling with difficult math problems, cover concepts such as positive and negative numbers, shapes, coordinate systems, binary, probability, number of cases, and functions.
It's all easy math that appears in middle school textbooks, but it's a little unique.
For example, can negative lengths or masses exist? What if we divide 0 into +0 and -0? What if there were probabilities greater than 1? This book builds on the foundations of mathematics and attempts free-flowing "mathematical experiments."

What kind of math is that? Even the fractions, decimals, and negative numbers we're familiar with were once considered strange numbers in the past.
Mathematics has constantly changed, both leading and being influenced by the world.
The same will apply in the future.
In a future where science and technology are highly developed, we may encounter situations that cannot be solved using existing mathematics.
Rather than just trying to memorize mathematical principles, you need to be able to think flexibly from various perspectives.

hello.
I am the owner of the world's only math store.
My job is to sell mathematical ideas.
We provide math that is perfect for those who are stuck in math and have lost touch with life.
I was a very successful mathematician.
Are you worried about whether anyone will find it? Math is essential in the digital age! There are quite a few people out there pulling their hair out and searching for it.
Look over there.
The guest opens the door and peeks out.
“Welcome.
“What math are you worried about?”

Negative mass, it would be very strange and awkward.
It's easy to think that it's an imaginary concept and can't be an actual mass.
Like a pile of stones that always returns to its original place, when we think of 'mass', we naturally think of positive numbers.
Because we are accustomed to positive mass.
The same was true for people who first encountered the concept of negative numbers in the past.
People were initially hesitant to accept negative numbers as numbers.
Didn't Blaise Pascal, the genius mathematician of the 17th century, say that 4 minus 0 equals 0? However, over time, people came to naturally accept negative numbers.
If so, the day will soon come when negative mass will also become natural.

If we could discover the secret of the energy that increases netropy, we could create capsules filled with that energy.
In that space, entropy is reduced and a more ordered state is restored.
What if a person were to enter that capsule? They would be restored to a younger state.
If you enter that capsule periodically, wouldn't you be able to live forever and stay young?
---From "Entropy less than 0"

+0 and -0 appeared through computers.
It was intentionally designed to represent the sign and size of a number together.
However, it does not seem to have had any impact on the human number system yet.
There are many people who don't even know about its existence.
It's just a small incident that happened in the world of computers.
Still, +0 and -0 may become important numbers in the future.
There are things that reveal their presence as soon as they are turned on, like an electric light, but there are also things that reveal themselves only after a very long time, like global warming!
---From "Number system with +0 and -0_Semiconductor"

The number of elements has been increasing gradually because the universe is not static but rather changing.
We witness moments like this when new events emerge.
New materials, new inventions, and new systems emerge, just like a coin landing on its side.
There are also life forms that have existed since ancient times but are only now being discovered.
The number of cases for an event is also not fixed, but expands and changes.
The universe and human perception of it are expanding and changing.

---From "Probability greater than 1_Gene Scissors"

When you talk about correspondences and ordered pairs, it's hard to get a sense of why functions are important.
But in everyday life, there are many phenomena where functions are applied.
The relationship between the number of mobile phone calls and the cost, the relationship between the weather and mood, the relationship between a gift and the satisfaction of the recipient, the relationship between the price of gas and the cost of living, the relationship between the button on a vending machine and the item it gives out, and the relationship between the performer and the recipient chosen by the performer can all be expressed as functions.
There are so many uses for it.
