Dadada Another Star School
Description
Book Introduction
Understand me and my other friends! There are as many different types of people in the world as there are friends. Even friends sitting in the same classroom have different personalities and characteristics, such as a grumbler, a shy person, a mischievous person, and a model student. Just as I am different from others, other people are not like me. If I want to be recognized by others, I must also recognize them, right? To do that, I must first understand that "it's not just me who is different; we are all different!" Children live with many friends at school. If you insist that you are right in times like these, you cannot live in harmony. Just as I came from my own star, I respect that my friends also came from their own star. In that sense, it's crucial to travel to other friends' planets! By playing around and exploring the stars, you can understand the minds of your mischievous friends, and by traveling to the heart-pounding planets, you can empathize with your timid and anxious friends. Also, as you meet the little friend from the star and the fat friend from the star, you will develop a positive attitude towards these friends. In the future, children will meet countless people of different genders, ages, regions, and countries. Rather than judging by my own standards each time, I should try to look at it from that person's perspective. Only then can we create a society where differences are acknowledged and people live in harmony. |

Publisher's Review
Find your own uniqueness!
“Why am I the only one short?”, “Why am I the only one fat?”, “Why am I the only one dirty?”, “Why am I the only one shy?”
We often compare ourselves to others and wonder, 'Why am I like this?'
They think that they are inferior to others and that they are behind others.
But am I really inferior to others? Some people are short, others are tall, some are shy, and some are more excited to be in front of others.
As such, all people are different.
No two people are exactly alike.
Author Jin-Hyeon Yoon believed that the reason we are all different is because we all come from 'different stars.'
Because they came from a different planet than Earth, they each had different personalities, appearances, and characteristics.
When I was young, I thought I was different from my friends because I was short and slow for some reason.
I wondered, 'Why am I the only one like this?' and concluded that it was because I was an alien.
And I thought that one day I would definitely return to my star.
As I got older, I became more and more of an Earthling,
To the children who are still searching for their own stars and to the children who have their own specialness
I wrote and illustrated this book because I wanted to tell stories from my childhood.
- From the author's words
The children in 『Dadada Different Star School』 are all from different stars, including Star, Question Mark Star, Tears Star, and Hide and Seek Star.
Each star is a special and fun star that perfectly matches the child's appearance or personality.
What's surprising is that among the thirteen children in the class, not a single one came from the same star.
Even the teacher.
Like this book, we each have our own unique 'specialness'.
That specialness cannot be evaluated by the same standards.
So don't look at yourself through other people's eyes and blame yourself for being ugly.
Because I am the only person in the world.
Accept who you are and be confident in yourself.
Now, let's think carefully about 'What kind of person am I?'
What do I look like? What is my personality like? What are my unique characteristics that set me apart from others? Then, consider which planet I came from.
If you knew which star I came from, it would give you an opportunity to understand me and be proud of me.

Various stars, various drawing techniques
Artist Jinhyun Yoon creates a lively and cheerful world of works using bright colors.
We provide laughter and joy by presenting comfortable pictures at children's eye level.
『Dadadada Different Star School』 is also full of author Jin-Hyeon Yoon's signature cute, adorable, and detailed attractions.
This book, in particular, mobilizes a variety of materials and techniques, rather than just one drawing technique, to best capture the characteristics and properties of each star.
This work can be said to be a culmination of artist Jinhyun Yoon's world of painting, including prints, collages, acrylics, watercolors, and crayons.
In particular, the cute and adorable pictures that contain the author's unique imagination will capture the eyes of children.
It's also interesting to see the book standing vertically according to the stars.
Don't just read a book once; read it many times.
Even the smallest details are imbued with ingenious imagination, so you can enjoy discovering new content every time you read.
Every time they encounter a new star, children will empathize with it or go on an exciting journey to another star.
And then you'll think of my star, right?
