My name is Wonyoung Choi, and I am a planner, developer, and instructor who is preparing to launch an educational service called Gipp.
When I first started planning in 2012, I was a business administration graduate who knew nothing about IT.
The developer I met at that time was very kind and tried to teach me a lot.
But unfortunately, I couldn't understand.
So I asked people.

“What exactly do I need to study and how much do I need to study to become a planner who can communicate effectively?”
People told me to learn C.
I told you to study Java.
These days, there is a magic word.
It's Python.
Perhaps some of you have heard that you should study Python, or perhaps you have studied it yourself.
So I thought that was what I had to do.
I started studying Java.
I taught myself HTML, CSS, JSP, etc.
Then, by chance, I entered a school called NHN NEXT.
There, I met such great professors and colleagues that I started learning C language again.
I studied database (DB), web, server, Android, and iOS.

And then I started planning again.
But while planning, I have never used if statements.
I learned about loops, but I've never used them while planning.
I thought about it then.

'The knowledge that a planner needs to know is not Python (a programming language).
'A planner must understand the big picture.'
I wrote "Understandable IT Knowledge for Non-Majors" in the hope that others won't have to go through the same trial and error I did.
I hope this book will be helpful to everyone working with developers in the field.

Besides office workers, there are other people who definitely need this book.
These are parents with children.

Most parents these days teach their children coding.
But this is like not seeing the forest for the trees.

Unless your child is going to be a developer, mastering a single programming language, whether Python or C, won't help much.
Because new programming languages ​​are constantly being created.


The important thing is to understand the overall big picture of IT, including how networks, clients, servers, APIs, apps, web, and data are organically interconnected.
Only then can you develop into a future talent capable of communicating with developers.

So, before studying the tree (coding), it is necessary to first be able to see the big forest (the big picture of IT).
To achieve this, parents must also understand the big picture of IT.

I will explain it to you in an easy and fun way.
