Dragon Hero 2
Description
Book Introduction
A new K-fantasy from author Jae-moon Lee
The second installment of Dragon Hero.
“I am the one who decides what kind of person I am,
“Not you, not anyone, but me!”
"Dragon Hero," the first full-length series by author Jae-moon Lee, who has been loved by many readers for works that leave a lasting impression, such as "Monster Child" and "My Guardian."
It is a Korean fantasy depicting the martial arts world inhabited by mythical 'dragons'.
The author, who has always been interested in Korean mythology, brought in the five dragons of the Five Elements theory, Korean goblins, and various Eastern martial arts into the book to create a new fantasy that had never been seen before.
The protagonist and a dragon glide through a fantasy world reimagined with a modern sensibility, overcoming the ominous fate imposed on them.
Here, artist Kim Ji-in, who collaborated with artist Lee Jae-moon on “Monster Child,” took charge of the illustrations, adding a sentimental and sensual atmosphere to the story.
Yeoul learns that the five dragon heroes can save the world if they join forces.
Yeouli first heads to Cheongnim, where the goblins live.
In Cheongnim, the 'Trial of the Blue Dragon' to determine Yongin begins.
Yeoul also jumps into the ordeal together with Supirang, a goblin with outstanding martial arts skills, and Geumdaldal, a hornless goblin known as an unlucky child.
During her ordeal, Yeoul encounters another 'me', and to make matters worse, this other 'me' blames herself for being useless.
Meanwhile, while the goblins' attention is focused on the Blue Dragon's trials, the Black Knights' energy, which seeks to destroy the world, seeps deeper into the Cheongrim Forest.
Will Yeoul be able to overcome the trials of the Blue Dragon and find the Blue Dragon's dragon spirit by winning the battle with herself?

Into the book
Even as my vision grew increasingly blurry, something sparkling caught my eye.
Something that can be clearly seen from a distance.
It was a small seed.
Cotyledons sprouted from the seeds.
It sprouted true leaves and gradually grew stems.
It put down roots and raised branches upwards.
The leaves grew lush and flowers bloomed.
The fruit fell to the ground and other trees grew up.
Could this also be an illusion? In the blink of an eye, the lush trees had transformed into something else.
Softly shining blue scales.
A huge creature, difficult to capture in one glance, leisurely swam past the rapids.
The huge being turned around and met Yeoul's eyes.
'Blue Dragon... ...?'
--- pp.96~97
There was a face that suddenly came to mind.
A person who was once called the genius Taoist priest of Cheon Yang Murim.
However, a man who was expelled from the sect after using forbidden sorcery to overtake the Black Jade seat.
A strategist and sorcerer of the Black Knights.
'Black Dew Shasha?'
Rather than fighting head-on, Shasha was someone who manipulated her opponents by delving into their minds.
A strategist who pulls strings from an invisible place and destroys his opponents like puppets.
--- pp.125~126
"let's go.
“Let’s return Cheonglim to its original state.”
"good!"
Sufirang grabbed the bat.
I turned my gaze towards the goblins that were gathering around me.
The waning moon began to run.
The surrounding scenery suddenly slowed down and stopped as if it were frozen.
The ability to control time.
The new moon could stop time for other people for a short period of time.
Sufi, who was holding that hand, also ran through the stopped time.
As time passed again, the goblins were confused by the two people who suddenly approached them.
Sufirang swung his bat without hesitation.
Bang bang bang!

Publisher's Review
Lee Jae-moon's new K-fantasy series
Five dragons rise and the Dragon Hero awakens!
The boring dragon is gone and the weight-bearing martial arts are gone.
The new concept K-fantasy "Dragon Hero" that crosses fantasy, Korean mythology, and oriental martial arts genres with flexible imagination is back in volume 2.
This volume takes place in Cheongnim, and features the Blue Dragon, who rules over trees and time, and the goblins who worship him.
The moment the Blue Dragon takes a few steps, Yeoul is immediately sucked into her past life.
The reader is faced with an overwhelming experience where time collapses and past and present intersect.
The exhilarating action unique to 《Dragon Hero》, which has been further enhanced, is also not to be missed.
Let's feel the exhilaration and thrill when swords collide with swords, bodies collide with bodies.
In Volume 2 of "Dragon Hero," illustrator Kim Ji-in vividly portrayed the Cheongnim, which is becoming increasingly dark, and the unique martial artists struggling in the Cheongnim, using vivid lines and colors to make them seem as if they were real.
A black shadow cast across the lush green forest
Defeat Shasha, the genius Taoist priest of the Black Knights!
Yeouli, who had returned to the shadow world to train, completes the Black Martial Arts Water Dragon Sword.
While returning after completing her training, she sees the shape of a black dragon, the symbol of the Black Martial Arts Group, in the sky, and decides to take refuge in the Cheongnim Forest of Cheonyang Martial Arts.
Cheongnim is a peaceful forest where goblins who worship the blue dragon live.
Yeoul meets Supirang, a boy goblin with outstanding martial arts skills and a kind personality, and Geumdal, a young goblin who was born without horns and is called the 'unlucky child'.
Soon after, the 'Trial of the Blue Dragon' begins in Cheongnim to determine the Blue Dragon's dragon spirit.
During the trials of the Blue Dragon, Yeoul encounters another 'me', and another Yeoul blames herself for being useless.
What Yeouli encounters in the lake, where she's been drawn into another self, is none other than the Blue Dragon! The Blue Dragon pokes Yeouli's sore spot with his sharp words.
“Wouldn’t the world be peaceful without you?” While the goblins’ attention is focused on the Blue Dragon’s trials, Shasha, the genius Taoist priest of the Black Martial Arts Group, invades deep into the Cheongrim Forest.
Will Yeoul be able to win the battle with herself, overcome the trials of the Blue Dragon, and find the Blue Dragon's dragon?
Also, will Cheongrim be safe from the Black Knights' conspiracy?
“I hate the world without me!”
Let's break free from self-hatred
Yeoul, Supi, and Geumdal are shaken and frustrated in the midst of trials.
Yeoul blames herself, saying, “I ruined everything because of me,” and Supi whips herself, saying, “I have to do better.”
Even the last moon is depressed, feeling like it is the one who brought about the misfortune.
These feelings of self-hatred.
When you are weak-hearted like Yeoul, everything around you looks bad and you feel like you are the cause.
Even though I'm already doing well like Supirang, I can't shake the pressure to do better.
When other people criticize you like the waning moon, you feel like you're really bad.
There is no one who has never felt self-hatred.
When you feel like this, the only person who can help you is yourself.
Let us think of those who have given us even a little bit of warmth, like Yeoul, Supirang, and the crescent moon.
Trust in that warmth and hug me tightly.
Let's love the world we live in.
