Into the book
The Discipleship Training book, “The Foundation of an Abundant Life,” is designed for those who clearly understand the phrase “have life” in the first part of John 10:10.
If you don't clearly understand that you have received life, the adventure and training that follows to discover what it means to "be given abundantly" will be meaningless.
In fact, as I've met countless Christians around me, people who claim to go to church, and people who are familiar with Christian culture, I've often discovered that they lack the life that is fundamental to living a rich life.
I've met people who go to church and are familiar with Christian culture, but because they don't have life itself within them, they can't develop into a richer life, no matter how much I talk about it.
So, before we begin training to obtain that life more abundantly through "The Foundation of an Abundant Life," we will first examine the fundamentals: how we obtain life, whether that life exists within us, and what it means to have obtained that life.
This is the beginning of the Tao.
However, you should not take it lightly just because you are a beginner.
Rather, it is imperative that we clarify the very foundation of what we believe, the most essential and central message Jesus taught.
--- p.202-203
Unfortunately, if you don't feel like you have yet accepted Jesus as your Lord, don't begin this training.
Rather, it is right for such people to honestly wrestle with the content of the gospel.
For those people, please read “Invitation to an Abundant Life” (Viator) and have a sincere conversation with someone who has become a Christian or with your guide.
So, after making your personal decision about the content of the Gospel clear and establishing a clear starting point through “The First Step to an Abundant Life” (Viator), begin this “Foundation of an Abundant Life.”

How to Use the "Basic Workbook for a Rich Life"
This textbook is a training program that has been implemented with great success over the past 14 years, primarily at Nadulmok Church and churches affiliated with the 'Hanabok DNA Network.' To achieve the same results, it is important to carefully examine the book's usage and apply it as is.
1.
"The Foundation of an Abundant Life" was created for those who have already decided to receive Jesus and make Him their Lord.
Those who have not yet accepted Jesus as the Lord of their lives should not use this book.
2.
"The Foundation of an Abundant Life" is a one-on-one training textbook designed for a leader who has completed the "The Foundation of an Abundant Life" leadership class to study with one follower.
Never read it alone.
For more accountable training and systematic discipleship within the community, you can receive more help by registering at www.hanabokdna.org.
3.
If you have someone ready to train with you, first set up a time and place where the two of you can study without interruption.
Also, decide in advance on a time and place where you can personally read and meditate on the contents of the textbook.
4.
It is a good idea to have a separate preparatory meeting before starting training in earnest.
At the preparatory meeting, read the introduction together, write a pledge, and pray together for the upcoming training.
5.
This textbook consists of twelve meetings, each divided into four chapters.
Ideally, you should have one meeting per week.
Each of you, set aside time each week to read, reflect on, and answer the reflection questions for each of the four chapters in this book.
And use the workbook to summarize the contents of each chapter.
6.
At the end of each meeting, there is an assignment to prepare for the next meeting.
Use the assignments in the workbook to have deep sharing between leaders and followers.
Doing your homework diligently is a very important part of this training.
