Paul's path is not a simple journey.
It was a path by which the gospel spread across geographical boundaries, along the empire's roads and urban networks, while at the same time bearing witness to the kingdom of God against the power and ideology of the Roman Empire.
Paul's steps were not simple movements.
His path was the birth of a church that was forming a new identity within the imperial space.
That path does not end with past events, but remains alive today as a mirror illuminating our journey of faith.

People's thoughts on Paul are still different today.
He has long been called a traitor by the Jews, but many scholars today are reinterpreting him.
Some say he was a man who maintained his Jewish identity until the end, while others see him as a figure who both divided the boundaries between Judaism and Christianity and at the same time connected them.
Others emphasize that Judaism at that time was already founded on God's grace and covenant, and explain that Paul preached the gospel anew within it.
These diverse interpretations provide a more three-dimensional view of Paul's path.


But one thing is clear.
Paul's path is not simply a story of the past.
He changed from Saul to Paul, from a zealous man of the law to a man of the Euangelion.
His journey from village to city, from the outskirts to the heart of the empire, shows how a man who called himself "little one" revealed the power of the gospel to change the world.
His happiness began in Jesus Christ and ended in Jesus Christ.
The story that always came out of his lips was Jesus.
Today we too stand in a similar place to where Paul stood.
In cities where wealth and power are concentrated, in squares where philosophies and ideas collide, in places of chaos and conflict, and in places that seem to be the heart of empires, the gospel that Paul preached still calls us.
