Elementary Textbook Vocabulary Calendar 365
Description
Book Introduction
Even though their textbook vocabulary is lacking, these days, children are increasingly not reading… Elementary school textbook vocabulary calendar that fosters vocabulary, literacy, and reading habits “I heard that the high school credit system will be implemented starting in 2025, and that high school grades will be changed to a 5-grade system?” “I heard that a descriptive and essay-based CSAT will be introduced after 2028?” These days, the number of parents calling to inquire about these things is increasing in the Daechi-dong academy district. Starting in 2025, the high school credit system will be fully implemented and high school grades will be changed to a 5-grade system. To get good grades in your grades, you need to be good at reading and writing. Furthermore, with the 2022 revised curriculum, the proportion of descriptive grades will increase, and the descriptive and essay-based CSAT will be introduced after 2028, reading and writing have become even more important for both grades and the CSAT. To be good at reading and writing, you must first develop your vocabulary. This is because, after learning basic vocabulary for each grade level, you must read a variety of texts related to the subject to develop literacy skills. However, these days, children's vocabulary and literacy skills are very lacking. As smartphones and media develop, we are less likely to read or write long texts in our daily lives. In reality, these days, children have a hard time reading books because there are many words they don't know, and they often overuse vulgar words like 'jonjam' and 'jjangda' in their daily lives. Even if parents read a lot of books on reading to change their children's language habits, it will be useless if the children themselves do not accept it. Literacy begins with building vocabulary, and developing a reading habit begins at the desk. If you place the Elementary Textbook Vocabulary Calendar 365 on the desk where children sit at least once a day, they will be able to develop good reading habits as well as develop vocabulary and literacy skills. This book is designed to help students learn vocabulary included in elementary school textbooks, such as 'stand out' and 'high-eyed', 'scroll' and 'mail', 'form' and 'decomposition', one page per day for 1 to 3 minutes. Because it is structured in a way that the difficulty level gradually increases by grade from January to December, even children entering elementary school for the first time can learn textbook vocabulary easily and enjoyably. In addition to textbook vocabulary, we also included various reading materials to help students develop textbook examples and background knowledge related to the subject. We also introduced key terms used in interviews for specialized high schools and colleges, such as nationalism, nationalism, class mobility, and ESG management. The vocabulary in this book totals over 1,000, including textbook vocabulary, antonyms, similar words, idioms, proverbs, and four-character idioms, as well as terms needed for essays and interviews for specialized high schools and college entrance exams. These vocabulary words were selected by Director Oh of C&A Essay Daechi Branch, a famous essay instructor in Daechi-dong. By reading this book, in which the author, Director Oh Yeo-won, introduces all relevant examples, your child will be able to read not only textbooks but also newspaper articles and books with a lot of text, and their vocabulary and literacy will grow rapidly. |

Highly recommended as a kindergarten graduation gift, elementary school entrance gift, Children's Day gift, or birthday gift!
“An ideology based on a clearly false premise can lead directly to disaster.
To advocate for human equality, it is claimed that all humans are equal.
As soon as it is established that there is no such thing as identity, support for equality also disappears.”
This article is part of the 2024 Seoul National University College of Medicine MMI (Multiple Mini Interview) exam questions.
Without a strong vocabulary and literacy, it would be difficult to understand words like “presupposition” and “ideology,” as well as the meaning of “identity” and “equality.”
In the age of artificial intelligence, both medical schools and Seoul National University require vocabulary and literacy as virtues beyond grades and the college entrance exam.
Starting in 2025, high school grades will change from a nine-grade system to a five-grade system, and after 2028, an integrated CSAT with both social studies and science as required subjects and a descriptive essay-based CSAT will be implemented.
Due to changes in school grades and the college entrance exam, major universities are strengthening their own exams, such as oral interviews. Whether it's school grades, the college entrance exam, or an interview, the most important thing is reading.
However, during the important period of high school, there is no time to read.
So, we need to lay the foundation for reading in elementary school.
In the early elementary school years, basic vocabulary for strategic reading must be developed.
Interest in vocabulary is directly linked to intellectual curiosity.
Because a rich vocabulary is essential for building a solid foundation for reading.
The background knowledge you build through reading becomes an inner strength that will not only help you with college entrance exams but also enrich your life in general.
《Elementary Textbook Vocabulary 365》 is the first study diary of Director Oh Yeo-seong of C&A Essay Daechi Branch, famous for being an essay daily instructor in Daechi-dong.
The author selected a total of approximately 1,000 vocabulary items that elementary school students must know, including textbook vocabulary, antonyms, similar words, idioms, proverbs, and four-character idioms, as well as terms needed for essays and interviews for specialized high schools and college entrance exams.
We also introduced various examples related to vocabulary and reading materials that expand background knowledge of the subject.
Children sit at their desks at least once a day, and this book is designed in the form of a calendar that can be placed on the desk where children are most likely to see it.
I sat at my desk and studied one page of textbook vocabulary a day for 1 to 3 minutes.
This book is bound with a spring and comes boxed, so it would be a great gift for kindergarten graduation, elementary school entrance, Children's Day, or birthday.
