The Avatamsaka Sutra is the greatest Buddhist scripture.
In this Avatamsaka Sutra, the content of the truth that the Buddha attained great enlightenment about is described as well as the appearance of the leader of the Dharma assembly expounding that truth.
"Avatamsaka Sutra Yakchan-ge" is a verse that was abbreviated into 756 characters and 108 lines by Nagarjuna Bodhisattva of India, selecting only the essence of the 80-volume Avatamsaka Sutra.
The 80-volume Avatamsaka Sutra contains a total of 587,261 Chinese characters. How easy would it be to read the entire sutra, given its vast length? However, by reading and studying this "Avatamsaka Sutra Commentary," you will gradually grasp the entire content of the sutra, ultimately achieving the same effect as reading it all at once.
So, from ancient times, people have widely recited and practiced the Yakchangae, praying and practicing while reciting the sutras.

The "Avatamsaka Sutra's Medicine Commentary" is 770 characters and 110 lines including the title, "The Avatamsaka Sutra's Medicine Commentary on the Bodhisattva Yongsu," and if you exclude the title, it is 108 lines.
It includes the names of the three Buddhas, the bodhisattvas Manjushri, Samantabhadra, Avalokitesvara, and Maitreya, the 39 Avatamsaka disciples, and the 53 good teachers that Sudhana met.
In particular, among the good people that Seonjae Dongja met, there were bodhisattvas, great men, wealthy men, women, young men and women, the god of the night, a cruel king, prostitutes, and even pagans.
It also lists the titles of each of the 39 chapters of the 80 volumes of the Avatamsaka Sutra.

When is it a good time to copy the Avatamsaka Sutra?

It is said that if you see the fragrant and concise words of the Avatamsaka Sutra, recite them with your mouth, write them with your hand, and engrave them in your heart while practicing the Fourfold Prayer, you will naturally receive the protection of the Buddha, Bodhisattva, and the Avatamsaka Sutra, and you will achieve great improvement and enlightenment, and your wishes will be fulfilled.
In particular, it is said that the copy of the Avatamsaka Sutra is very good for achieving the following circles.

·When you want to live a life where your body, speech, and mind are always pure
·When you meet a great and insightful teacher and want to learn the Buddhist law well
·When you want to master the Buddha's teachings and make true offerings to the Dharma

It is possible to copy the "Avatamsaka Sutra" 12 times in one book, and the preface explains in detail the miraculous powers and order of copying the sutra, the duration and number of times to copy the sutra, and points to pay particular attention to.
