His family traveled through Iraq and Syria to reach the Promised Land (today's Holy Land).

-Daniel was taken captive to Iraq (the ruins of Babylon, south of present-day Baghdad) as a teenager and spent his life there.

-The ruins of Nineveh are located in northern Iraq, near Mosul, a region inhabited by Kurds.
Jonah fled from God's presence and went north to Iraq.

-The wise men would have come from Iran or Saudi Arabia.

-Jesus worked in four countries today: Egypt, Jordan, Israel, and Lebanon (Sidon and Tyre).
