The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade's Overseas Mission Heads' Meeting is held every February.
As an exception, in 2003, the meeting of heads of diplomatic missions was postponed from May 21 to 23 due to the inauguration of President Roh Moo-hyun.

That evening, I prayed to God that I would arrive in Seoul early to attend the dinner at the Blue House.
But God told us not to go in beforehand.

God, shouldn't we hurry and get to Seoul right now?'
At that time, God spoke to me like this.
'You will meet him separately.'
I came to know that God had a plan.
So from then on, I started writing reports to give to the president on my own.

They seemed to think that it was unfair that I came from the SARS region, and that they felt sorry for me because I couldn't even attend the dinner at the Blue House.
Even while attending the meeting, I waited for someone to contact me.
Finally, that afternoon, I received a call from the Blue House.
“Please come to the Blue House by 11:30 AM on Monday the 26th next week.
“The President will receive a separate report.”
'Oh, thank you, God.
'You're finally letting me meet the President.'
I felt a thrill run through my body as I confirmed once again that God is alive.

*Praying daily for my Chinese friends for over 15 years
I have prayed for Vice Minister Woo countless times over the past 15 years.
After I told him to come as an ambassador to Korea, I prayed for three years and he came. I also told him to go as an ambassador to Japan and prayed for him and he went as an ambassador to Japan.
He said he would become the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs in three years and while I was praying for that, he became the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and I prayed for an extension of his retirement and it was extended.
God has answered my tearful prayers for my beloved friend.

I have prayed for Vice Minister Wu Dawei more than ten thousand times so far.
When we pray thousands of times for one person with a loving heart, those prayers are bound to have an impact.
People might think that the reason I served as ambassador for so long was simply because I was good at managing people.
However, I have been dreaming of China since I started studying Chinese literature in college in 1965, and I have prayed countless times for my beloved Chinese friends since 1995.
This was the biggest factor that enabled me to become the longest-serving ambassador as a career diplomat since the establishment of the government.

During my 36 years as a civil servant, I have met many people with power, fame, or money.

In doing so, I was able to discover some commonalities among them.
Many people were feeling frustrated, anxious, and full of anxiety.
And because I was so busy trying to achieve my own goals quickly, I couldn't see others doing well.
So there was a lot of envy and jealousy, and no love or leisure.
Even if you have money, fame, or power through various means, if you live in a state of frustration, anxiety, and hatred toward others, the world may call it success, but it is not a blessing.

I believe that the most fundamental problem that many Christians are experiencing, and that is the same problem as the people of the world, is prayer.
This is because many people pray with their souls and not with their spirits.
Since the Holy Spirit of God dwells within us, we are people of the Holy Spirit, yet we pray only with our souls every day.
You cannot meet God if you pray with your soul.
Because we cannot meet God, we cannot communicate with Him, and so we do not know what God's will is.
If you don't know what God's will is, you won't receive an answer when you pray.
When you don't get a response, you become frustrated and don't want to pray.
In the end, they give up praying and just live according to the lusts of the flesh.

The fleshly man lives as he pleases, but the spiritual man moves as the Holy Spirit leads.
People in the world are constantly worried about where to go and what to do.
We meet countless times, hold meetings, and discuss, but the results are always unknown due to human limitations.
It is virtually impossible to predict the future and make correct decisions with human wisdom.
That's why I can't help but feel anxious.

But the Holy Spirit always gives answers.
It was the Holy Spirit who led the Israelites with a pillar of fire and a pillar of cloud.
When we live relying on the Holy Spirit, an amazing life begins.
