Into the book
The Yonsei University essay test, which does not require a student record or the CSAT, will be held on Saturday, September 27th in 2025.
The Yonsei University exam, known as the 'multifaceted thinking' essay exam, is a combination of liberal arts and humanities and boasts the highest level of difficulty.
Among the presentations, there is always one in English.
One of the problems is the repair problem.

The essay should be a typical exam where the evaluation is based on skill, not luck.
Of course, everyone knows that writing essays is not a subject that can be memorized in a short period of time, so separate preparation is necessary.
However, many students are disappointed because it is difficult to ‘prepare properly’.
Moreover, even though you have prepared diligently for the essay, the reality is that it is difficult to even confirm whether the effort was truly adequate.
I believe that through this book, students should be able to check whether or not the essay writing they did was a process that would lead to passing the exam.

The expected answer is not necessarily the model answer.
I don't know if the school provided a model answer, but Yonsei University has never publicly released such answers except for the past few years when it was a mock essay.
I think what we need to check in the expected answers presented in this book is the direction.
If there is an answer to the argument, it lies in that direction.
Depending on that direction, the structure of the answer is roughly determined.

It consists of a 26-day learning program.
In reality, it is divided into 13 subject areas, so you can get an overview of the characteristics of Yonsei University's essay writing in 13 sessions, or about 2 weeks.
Once a day, if that doesn't work out, just try to solve one or two questions honestly.
As you read through the text repeatedly, you will gain confidence in summarizing the text, organizing arguments for and against, and arranging your arguments, and the time it takes to write your answers will decrease.
What will students gain from this book? This is the task of students who, from summer vacation through the day before the essay exam at the end of September, will read, analyze, and write answers to the past exam questions in this book.

Publisher's Review
21 Years of Experience in Gangnam Essay Writing: A Professional Instructor's Strategy for Passing the Yonsei University Essay Exam
4-week learning program for practical training

This book is primarily aimed at students who wish to study essay writing on their own, especially those who are unable to receive private tutoring.
To help you master essay writing with this one book, we've categorized frequently asked topics into 26 special lectures, including detailed explanations of the topics.
The included past exam questions include all essays from the 2008 college entrance exams administered by Yonsei University up to the 2025 academic year, including early admission essays, mock essays, and even regular admission essays, so long as they are in line with the current problem types.

Generally, essay writing academies in Gangnam create sample questions based on the type of university essay exam.
However, the author believes that solving essay exam questions carefully prepared by university professors with great care, rather than studying the expected questions from academies, can lead to higher scores in the actual exam.
Therefore, it was designed to enable practical training through 『Yonsei University Essay_Humanities and Social Sciences 26』.

Optimized Yonsei University Humanities and Social Sciences Essay Writing Study Guide

It is a 4-week, three-dimensional learning program that is structured in 5 stages: first, a special lecture on the topic, past exam questions, practical training, topic analysis, and expected answers, focusing on all past exam questions.
It is divided into 26 topics in total, so you can study one topic per day in a 5-step three-dimensional learning process.
By studying like this for four weeks, you can get a bird's eye view of the overall characteristics of Yonsei University's essay writing.
If you focus, you can complete it in 4 weeks, or you can extend the period and solve it once a day. If that doesn't work out, you can just solve one or two questions diligently.
As you read through the text repeatedly, you will gain confidence in summarizing the text, organizing arguments for and against, and arranging your arguments, and the time it takes to write your answers will decrease.

Special Lecture - Past Exam Questions - Practice - Topic Analysis - Expected Answers! 5-Step 3D Learning

【Special Lecture on the Topic】This lecture analyzes all Yonsei University essay exam questions from 2008 to 2025 and organizes them into 26 frequently appearing themes to help students learn background knowledge.

【Previous Exam Questions】 are organized by topic and academic year.
You can study by planning your studies to suit your learning style.
You can approach the issues from the most recent issues or by topic.
Alternatively, following the structure of the book is also a good method.

【Practice】This exercise is designed to help you practice summarizing and comparing/criticizing the given text.
It's overwhelming at first.
Let's start by simply listing keywords and establishing arguments for and against them.
If you read it 2-3 times like this, you will accumulate background knowledge and become accustomed to attaching arguments inside and outside the text and constructing sentences.

[#232] ...
As much as possible, we have compiled and included the school's analysis.
Based on the information organized in this way, guidelines for composing the optimal essay answer were presented.
In other words, the focus was on organizing the format of the answer and the content to be included in it.

[Expected Answers] are organized based on the answers written by students, supplementing any insufficient parts.
What you need to check in the expected answers presented in this book is the direction.
If there is an answer to the argument, it lies in that direction.
Depending on that direction, the structure of the answer is roughly determined.
The content contained therein may vary from student to student.
