Into the book
His short life, aimed at meeting Christ, is like a ray of light illuminating those who are lost on their own path.
His life will now be a light to all who encounter his story.

--- From "Recommendations"

Parents who give life to their children have further given them the opportunity to become disciples of Christ.
Carlo later emphasized the importance of baptism.
“(Baptism) allows us to enter into divine life and save our souls.
But people are only interested in candies, sweets, pretty white lace baptismal gowns, and congratulatory money.
This is because people are not interested in understanding that (baptism) is a tremendous gift from God.”
--- p.18~19

Carlo was popular with his friends, and they always approached him.
When arguments arose between friends, Carlo would act as mediator.
Carlo was also very devoted to his original work as a student.
I reached out to a friend who was struggling with his studies and relationships, took care of him, and helped him every day with incredible patience.

--- p.38~39

He was very sensitive to the poverty and suffering of others, and did everything he could to alleviate the suffering of the underprivileged.
He said that when he was young, he suddenly felt a surge of love and came to me with a piggy bank, asking me to use it for poor children.

--- p.93

Carlo was convinced that if parents prayed to God for their children, the children would grow up well without losing their values and souls or wandering.
Carlo believes that parents and children must pray together so that their faith can be passed on to their children.
“Even if one day they lose their way to God, the Lord will remember the prayers they offered together as a family and lead them back to the flock.”
--- p.131

Carlo continued to dedicate the first Saturday of each year for five consecutive months to Our Lady, who had appeared to Sister Lucia in 1925.
The revelation was about Our Lady asking for reparation and consolation for the sins committed against her Sacred Heart by all people.
Our Lady promised:
“I will help all those who wish to make reparation to me by going to Confession, receiving Holy Communion, reciting the Rosary, and meditating with me on the mysteries for fifteen minutes on the first Saturday of each month, to receive all the graces necessary for salvation at the moment of death.”
--- p.190

What is unique about him is that in his short life he discovered extraordinary people.
He is Jesus Christ.
His encounter with Jesus changed his life from his childhood.
Carlo considered Jesus his friend, the reason for his life, and his reference point.
Without Jesus, it would be impossible to understand the actions and ways of being this boy lived his daily life.
In every way he was like his peers, but he harbored an irreplaceable secret within himself.

Publisher's Review
Digital Apostle, Carlo Acutis

Carlo Acutis was a young man with exceptional computer talent, so much so that a prominent computer scientist rated his skills as college-level.
However, he did not stop at mere technical achievements, but dedicated himself to making the miracles and teachings of the Church known to the world by using his abilities as a tool for spreading the faith.
He organized an international exhibition documenting 136 miracles of the Eucharist and contributed to parishes and Vatican institutions through the creation of websites and digital content.
That life was where faith and creativity met.
Even in this digital age, overflowing with stimulation and temptation, he steadfastly loved God and walked the path of faith. He is a moving example to today's youth and young adults, showing them that technology and faith can be in harmony.

A life of deep and transparent spirituality

In a modern society where technology is rapidly advancing and a culture centered on pleasure and consumerism is spreading, Carlo Acutis testifies to the essence of truth, goodness, and faith.
Through Carlo's deep and transparent spirituality, this book revisits the unique Catholic faith and revelatory messages that have gradually faded in liberal and highly developed civilizations, such as the Eucharist, devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Virgin Mary, the reality of Heaven, Purgatory, and Hell, the value of prayer and sacrifice, and belief in angels, and reawakens their true meaning.
Carlo did not limit his faith to mere religious practice; he placed it at the center of his life.
In particular, his devotion to the Eucharist was central to his spiritual journey, and he expressed such a deep love for the Eucharist that he described it as “my highway to heaven.”
Even at a young age, he attended Mass every day and found joy in meeting Jesus, and he considered it a special grace from God to be permitted to receive First Communion at the age of seven.

He especially loved and followed Saint Francis of Assisi and Saint Anthony of Padua, for he was deeply inspired by their poor and humble lives as a way to become a true Christian.
Rather than pursuing luxury or external adornment, Carlo placed greater value on a life of complete devotion to the Virgin Mary, helping neighbors, friends, and souls in purgatory through plenary indulgences.
His devotion to Our Lady was very deep, and like the three shepherds of Fatima and Saint Bernadette of Lourdes, he always tried to be with Our Lady through the Rosary.
We also personally planned diagrams and materials to make it easier to pray the rosary.
Theologians within the church testify that he not only lived out his faith creatively and practically, but that he was also a young theologian with theological understanding and insight that penetrated the essence of faith at the foundation of his entire spiritual life.

Virtue revealed in everyday life

Carlo Acutis was a man of not only deep faith, but also an extraordinary example in his daily life.
Those around him remember him as “a kind, polite, always easy-going and attentive child.”
He never swore or showed anger, but rather, he was the first to step forward to help a friend who was being bullied, and he had a warm heart that extended a helping hand to those in need even before being asked for help.
This attitude toward life is accepted as evidence of faith that goes beyond mere moral goodness and lives out the gospel.
Above all, Carlo did not limit the teachings of the Church to his own life, but shared them naturally and happily with his friends.
Those who were with him recall him as “a child very close to the Lord” and confess that they were deeply impressed by his pure faith and warm personality.
Although his life was short, Carlo Acutis was a typical example of a modern youth who practiced his faith in the midst of ordinary daily life and walked the “ordinary path of holiness.”
He showed us through his own example that true holiness is not a special achievement, but rather a daily practice of loving God and serving one's neighbor.
The testimonies of those who remember Carlo clearly reveal how deeply he lived his life of faith and virtue.

“Carlo was a very special child.
He was excellent in every way.
Carlo, who attended Mass every day from a very young age, was kind, polite, and always seemed relaxed.
I can still clearly see how much devotion he put into receiving Holy Communion.
She looked like a little angel.
I clearly remember the look in his eyes and the smile he gave me as he greeted me.
I've seen Carlo out the window playing in the square with other children or walking his dog.
Carlo never swore or yelled.
“Even though other kids were treating me poorly, I didn’t fight.” (Page 24)

“I was very impressed with Carlo.
He went to Mass every day and asked me to go with him.
I will never forget that kind and special child.
I am sure that Carlo was very close to the Lord.” (pp. 37-38)

The Life of Saint Carlo Acutis, a Saint Encountered Through Testimony and Photos

Carlo Acutis passed away on October 12, 2006, after suffering from acute leukemia.
Although his life was short, he dedicated his life entirely to the Pope, the Church, and Heaven.
His life sends a powerful and living message to all of us today, who are lost in the digital world and losing ourselves: “Live as the original, not the copy.”
This book, the official biography of Saint Charles Acutis, vividly depicts his life from childhood to death, his posthumous miracles, the recognition of his virtues, and his journey to beatification and canonization, all with rich photographic evidence.
In particular, it includes drawings of various animals and objects, such as companion dogs, cats, kites, and rosaries, which Carlo enjoyed and loved during his lifetime, conveying the saint's life and inner world in a more three-dimensional and familiar way.
This book will go beyond simply recording the life of a saint. Through the testimonies and photographs of those who actually knew him, it will become a valuable resource that vividly conveys the fragrance of his virtue and the inspiration of his faith.

The Posthumous Reputation of St. Charles Acutis Illuminated with Pope Francis's Evaluation

Since Carlo Acutis passed away in 2006, veneration for him has spread rapidly around the world.
Cathedrals and chapels named after him have been built around the world, and various communities, including youth groups and evangelistic campaigns, have been inspired by his life.
Carlo has established himself as a 'model of youth ministry' and is called the 'evangelist of the digital generation'.
Pope Francis often refers to him as “a young man who shows creativity and genius even in the digital world” and praises his life “for using technology as an instrument of faith.”
In July 2024, Pope Francis announced that Carlo's canonization would take place during the Jubilee.
Charles would be the first saint to be canonized by Pope Leo XIV.
I hope that this book will be a path to heaven for its readers, beyond the life of Carlo Acutis.

In the digital world, we are exposed to the dangers of self-absorption, isolation, and empty pleasure.
But let's not forget that there are young people who are showing creativity and genius even in the digital world.
The Venerable Carlo Acutis is one such example.

Carlo was well aware that mechanisms like communication, advertising, and social networks were used to make us complacent, to indulge in consumerism, to buy the latest products on the market, to obsess over our free time, and to dwell on negative thoughts.
But he knew how to use new communication technologies to spread the gospel and convey beauty and values.
