10 Minutes a Day Elementary Newspaper No. 2
Description
Book Introduction
“How much do YouTubers earn?”
“K-pop’s popularity is truly amazing!”
“The more developed a country is, the more it prefers girls?”
10 minutes a day, 100 up-to-date current affairs facts! 100 fun activities!
Enjoy reading it anywhere, even alone!
Since the publication of the first issue of “10 Minutes a Day Elementary Newspaper,” we have heard many reviews from parents.
A child who had never been interested in books, let alone a single leaflet, showed himself reading on his own without even being called.
So, what struck me most was that you said it was very surprising.
There's even a story about how her throat is about to get sore because she keeps asking her child to read to her, but she keeps reading to her because it's amazing how interested she is in the world.
It was a pleasant epilogue just to hear.
One person even told me that he or she was reading with more excitement than his or her child.
As someone who interacts with children every day, I know that our children are more interested in the world than we might think.
So it wasn't a new reaction.
But it's so rewarding and satisfying to see that even children I've never met are so interested in the world.
_From the author's note
Teacher Raon Oh, author Hyunseon Oh, who has been meeting children and parents as a reading teacher for 25 years, has been reading newspaper articles related to the book's content and discussing them during class.
However, adult newspapers are difficult, and children's newspapers often require adult help.
I was wondering if there was a newspaper that children could read and think about on their own, and I created a 'new' children's newspaper.
A simple, easy-to-read article written in simple language can be read in just 10 minutes to help develop your child's critical thinking.
In this second issue, we've taken care to ensure that each article doesn't just pass over an issue by including a light post-reading activity.
Author Oh Hyeon-seon, known as the "Teacher of Elementary School Teachers," travels around the country giving lectures, shining with the sincerity and ideas of reading education.
In this book, you can find the wishes of parents who wish this person were their neighborhood reading teacher.

Publisher's Review
10 minutes a day, 100 pieces of the latest news by field!
We've organized the general newspaper article categories into categories that children can understand and that are more relevant to their lives.
Discover a variety of articles in eight fields: society, culture, environment, international affairs, education, science, economy, and politics.
We've collected 100 articles, big and small, ranging from easy topics related to children like "Sleep 2 more hours on the weekend," "Choose your own lunch," and "I don't want to wear a school uniform!" to stories that look back on friends and neighbors like "School violence, wait before reporting!" and "Multiculturalism is good too!" to stories that broaden interest in the environment and the world like "Tuvalu submerged in water" and "Europe bans the sale of pets."
As you read the article with interest, you will realize that everything in the world, including society, economy, education, and the environment, is ultimately connected.
You will naturally discover your own areas of interest.
It only takes 10 minutes a day.
Intuitive design like mobile news
We've introduced an intuitive design for mobile screens, making it easy for children to read articles in a friendly manner.
Underline the parts of the article that struck you and express your feelings with emoticons.
The issue of digital textbooks is also introduced in this book, but for our children living in the digital age, a design that looks like a book but is also mobile will provide a 'new' newspaper reading experience.
Play instead of studying!
Many children find workbooks and worksheets difficult.
Please read articles that are light or heavy, warm or sad, heartwarming or regrettable, anytime, anywhere, and build your common sense.
Reading a certain amount of material allows you to build background knowledge, and as background knowledge builds, your understanding of the world expands.
We've curated 100 articles that children will find interesting and helpful, so feel free to read them.
The right page contains current affairs vocabulary and initial consonant quizzes and mini-quizzes, so you can use them as rewards without worrying about checking or filling in the blanks.
We also provide some light-hearted thoughts related to the article.
I hope you'll organize your thoughts by talking about how my family views this issue, and broaden your horizons by researching more information that interests you.
