Into the book
He (Jesus) said, “Whoever understands the true meaning of this teaching will never taste death.”
Why do so many see the Gospel of Thomas as having the power of an atomic bomb? Despite its significant overlap with the four major Gospels, it emphasizes that everyone must immediately seek the "Kingdom of God," that is, the "Holy Spirit," and obtain "eternal life" while alive, without waiting for Judgment Day.
--- p.13
Jesus clearly lived before he died, achieved ‘eternal life in the flesh’, and obtained a ‘resurrection body.’
By living, you have already obtained ‘eternal life.’
And he clearly showed this to his disciples in the ‘Mount Transfiguration Incident.’
… Living like this and completing the ‘resurrection body’ and not experiencing ‘death’ is the core argument of the ‘Gospel of Thomas.’
While the four existing gospels mainly dealt with teachings on the 'conscientious life according to the Holy Spirit' (sanctification of the soul), the Gospel of Thomas mainly reveals the 'awakening of the Holy Spirit' (awakening of the spirit) and the 'secret of eternal life' (eternal life of the flesh).
The 'rebirth of spirit, soul, and body', which is the key to heaven, can be completed through these five gospels.
This is precisely why we must pay attention to the Gospel of Thomas, the words of Jesus that have been revealed to the world again, over 2,000 years after his death.
--- p.15
First, we must recover the ‘Holy Spirit’ (I AM), the ‘true heaven’ within us.
If we do not constantly experience this 'eternal presence of mine', our lives become separated from God.
Jesus does not teach blind 'faith'.
Because such a belief presupposes ignorance.
Jesus teaches us to gain ‘true faith’ and ‘assurance’ through our own experience and understanding.
We should not wait after death to obtain the truth that we cannot be sure of while alive.
You have to live to realize it.
--- p.23
① I said, “I forgive your sins (original sin)!” but in fact, you do not have original sin.
You have always remained in the 'Eternal Presence of God' (I AM)!
② I said, “Receive the Holy Spirit!” but in fact, your ‘spirit’ is the ‘Holy Spirit.’
You are the gods!
③ I said, “I will give you eternal life on the day of judgment!” But in fact, you yourselves must obtain resurrection ‘here and now’ by the power of the Holy Spirit!
--- p.48
Jesus said to his disciples, “When you can make the two one, the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, the above like the below, and male and female one, so that male will no longer be male and female will no longer be female,
When you can make 'new eyes' instead of 'physical eyes', 'new hands' instead of 'physical hands', 'new feet' instead of 'physical feet', and 'new images' instead of 'physical images', then you will be able to enter 'the kingdom'."
--- p.72
His disciples asked him, “When will the dead rest? When will the new world come?”
He said to them, “What you are waiting for has already come, but you do not know it.”
--- p.126
The 'Kingdom of God', the essence of all things in heaven and earth, has already come down to us, within our 'soul and body'.
The 'Eternal Presence' (I AM, Spirit) that transcends our inner discernment is the Kingdom of God, the root of all existence (thoughts, emotions, and the five senses).
The ever-quiet 'Eternal Presence of Me' since the beginning is the 'Eternal Resting Place'!
--- p.127
Jesus said, “I AM the light that shines above all things, and I am everything! From me all things come, and to me all things reach.
Split the piece of wood! There is 'me' there.
“Lift up the stone! There you will find ‘Me,’” he said.
--- p.168
Jesus said, “Whoever comes to understand the ‘world’ will find the ‘flesh,’ and whoever has found the flesh will no longer be worthy of the world.”
--- p.175
Jesus said, “Whoever is near to me is near to the fire.
“Whoever is far from me is far from the kingdom,” he said.
--- p.177
Jesus said, “The heavens and the earth will disappear before your eyes.
But whoever lives because of the Living One will never see death.”
--- p.222
His disciples asked him, “When will the kingdom come?”
“Just because you watch over that ‘kingdom’ doesn’t mean the kingdom will come.
Also, it is not something that can be said as 'Look, here it is!' or 'Look, there it is!'
Rather, the ‘kingdom of the Father’ is spread out widely on earth.
But people don't see it," he said.
--- p.225
Jesus, the Savior, said:
“All things in nature, all things formed, all things created, exist together.
They will melt into their own Source (the ever-present I AM).
