King Sejong, who created the golden age of the Joseon Dynasty by developing science, culture, and art, created Hangul, which we can all easily learn and use in our daily lives.
How did King Sejong become king, and what kind of life did he lead as a man and as a king? Why did he create our own unique writing system, Hunminjeongeum?

The Joseon Dynasty was a time when even the most educated nobles had difficulty learning Chinese characters, and it was even more difficult for ordinary people, who were busy making a living, to learn and use them.
Sejong believed that we should have our own alphabet that everyone could easily learn and use so that the people would not suffer injustice or face difficulties due to illiteracy.

The Secret Hidden in the Twenty-Eight Letters of Hunminjeongeum

King Sejong, who dreamed of a country where the people were happy, defied the opposition of his subjects and, after repeated research, created the twenty-eight letters of Hunminjeongeum and made them widely known to the people.
A vowel that symbolizes the harmony of heaven, earth, and people that make up the universe, and a consonant that imitates the shape of the mouth when making sounds.
The twenty-eight letters created in this way contain originality and scientific nature that no one can imitate.
