There are countless books on worship, but perhaps none contain as much astonishing insight into the "essence of worship" as this one.
This book was published by Pottery 10 years ago and was very well-received.
Restoration of true worship.
This is the sacred calling that today's Korean church must pursue and restore as a top priority.
What we need now is not a menu of programmed revival meetings.
The author appeals that a passion for God's presence is required of all Christians.

Into the book
The worshippers who carried the ark of God's glory and passed through the gates of Jerusalem cheering were different.
They wore marks of toil and suffering on their bodies because they longed for the blue flame of God's presence.
Those who labored to restore God's presence and mercy were clearly distinguished from the fruitless worshippers who waited comfortably within the city walls to see what would happen.
The garments of the zealous worshipper were stained with the blood of the sacrifice.
The dust and sweat that covered the priests' garments showed how much they had paid to bring God's presence from the threshing floor of Nagon to the city of Jerusalem.
So, under Christ's new covenant, does entering God's presence require us to jump, dance, and literally sweat? Of course not.
But you have to be willing to do that.
God is a spirit, and must be worshipped in spirit and truth (John 4:24).
The self-sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross put an end to animal sacrifices forever.
But God never eliminated the concept of sacrifice from worship.

Publisher's Review
David's Tabernacle, 10th Anniversary Special Edition!
“God, I worship only you.”
“The Tabernacle of David” is “the absolute best book on worship,” writes Joy Dawson in her recommendation.
There are countless books on worship, but perhaps none contain as much astonishing insight into the "essence of worship" as this one.
This book was published by Pottery 10 years ago and was very well-received.
The influence of this book at the time was truly astonishing.
As many worship leaders gathered in groups to study this book, its impact began to grow.
This book spread quickly not only in Korea but also in the United States.
The expression 'worship that seeks God's face' became popular.
There is only one reason why Pottery is republishing a revised edition of this book to commemorate its 10th anniversary.
This book aims to challenge the ‘restoration of worship’ by conveying the heart of David, a passionate worshipper, to the new younger generation who do not know this book.
Tommy Tenney was reading Acts 15:16 when he asked, “Why would God want to rebuild David’s fallen tent?” According to him, God’s concern was not with a building, but with the very passion in David’s heart.
David was, above all, a man who sought the ‘presence of God.’
David's tabernacle became a house pleasing to God because of the people who worshipped there.
So, the author speculates that if there is a place of worship on earth where God feels the most 'nostalgia', it would be David's tabernacle.
Worship is about longing for more than just 'good praise' or 'good sermon'.
So, the author says, “I want to see God appear in His manifestation or in His living glory.”
It is not enough to simply want good worship, good praise, and good sermons.
Because we must meet God Himself.
However, the spiritual condition of the church today is serious.
According to the author, the Church, the bride of Christ, is becoming accustomed to 'living in a palace without a king.'
The church is refusing to pay the price for a deep encounter with God.
The author says:
“It is time to stop worshipping for show.
“Become a participant in worship!”
According to the author, God wants a church that looks only to God Himself.
Now we must pray like this:
“I desire the Lord’s presence (giver) more than God’s gifts (gift).
“I long for glory rather than growth.”
Restoration of true worship.
This is the sacred calling that today's Korean church must pursue and restore as a top priority.
What we need now is not a menu of programmed revival meetings.
The author appeals that a passion for God's presence is required of all Christians.
Readers who wish to restore the heart of David, a passionate worshiper, will find answers to the questions of true worship through this book.
We will also become worshippers who pray for a true wind of revival to come to this land.
“The moment you hold the Tabernacle of David in your hands, you will experience the anointing of God.
Because the oil of the Holy Spirit seeps out from every page.
If you're afraid of change, this is a book you'd be better off not reading at all.
