Gospel Project New Testament 3: The Cross and Resurrection (Young Adults)
Description
Book Introduction
“The Gospel Project New Testament 3: The Cross and Resurrection”
Fulfilling the promise of salvation
“It shows the suffering and glory of Jesus, the Son of God.”

Jesus willingly went down the path of suffering and death.
Even though that path was completely unnecessary and unsuitable for the Son of God and King of the whole world, Jesus chose that path and walked it.
In order to participate in and obey God's plan to save sinners, He loved sinners and quietly endured the fear and pain of that terrible punishment on their behalf.
Finally, he gave his own life.
But no one knew of Jesus' great love and sacrifice, and no one praised him.
Only God, who anointed Jesus with perfume from a woman, supported Him.
And God led Jesus, the Savior, who went all the way to the ‘way of the cross’, to the ‘way of glory.’
Jesus was raised from the grave with a resurrected body and taken up to heaven.
Jesus, the 'crowned king', declared that he is the only hope for this world and the wisdom and power of salvation.

In this way, the disciples came to know of Jesus' love, suffering, death, and their own salvation.
So, like Thomas, they could put aside their doubts about Jesus and like Peter, they could shake off the guilt of betrayal.
And by confessing to Jesus, “My Lord and my God,” I was able to follow the path of life and salvation that the Lord Jesus leads me to.
Through this Bible study, we too can have the opportunity to renew our relationship with Jesus and strengthen our faith and commitment.

Supervisor

The Gospel Project, published by Duranno, faithfully follows the traditional church interpretation of the Bible.
And that direction is ultimately towards Jesus Christ.
However, we do not force a Christocentric interpretation.
In each text, God's covenant of salvation and God who fulfills it are revealed, and events that can be explained as a type of Christ are not missed.
This leads us to expect great benefits in bringing learners to Christ through Bible study.

Additionally, the Gospel Project presents 99 core doctrines in a clear and concise manner, helping you verify the soundness of the doctrine.
It connects what you learn in each lesson to core doctrines, thereby strengthening your doctrinal understanding of the gospel of Christ.
Finally, The Gospel Project has a great advantage that no other Bible commentary or doctrinal study book has.
It is the relevance of application and the effectiveness of training that leads learners to come before God and the gospel of Christ and to reflect on their own faith and life.
Furthermore, the Gospel Project offers a wealth of insights and commentaries from theologians and pastors who are historically and exegetically significant in relation to the text, along with questions for in-depth discussion (for leaders) and application questions that open up missionary perspectives.

- Kim Byeong-hun (Professor of Systematic Theology, Union Theological Seminary)

The Gospel Project has the following features:
First, we look at the entire Bible from a ‘Christ-centered’ perspective.
The Old and New Testaments are connected from the perspective of the Christ who will come (Old Testament), the Christ who has come, and the Christ who will come again (New Testament).
So, we can break free from the narrow-minded view of the Old Testament as merely a history book of the Jewish people and see the amazing history of God's salvation contained within it.
Second, it teaches the love of Christ through the same text in the church, at home, and across all ages.
This is especially true at home, providing opportunities for parents and children to communicate with each other in faith, leading them to grow into mature Christians who practice love and justice.
Third, it provides an easy-to-understand explanation of theological topics and basic doctrines.
So, it helps to improve spiritual discernment, which is very important in a situation where pseudo-cults are spreading.
Fourth, we connect what we have learned with the mission of sowing the seeds of the gospel and lead people to practice the mission God has given them.
This restores the passion of the gospel.
- Ryu Ho-seong (Professor of New Testament Studies, Seoul Jangsin University)

The Gospel Project is a well-organized summary of the series of events that unfold in the Bible: God's plan for salvation, its execution, and its completion.
Duranno's "The Gospel Project" systematically covers God's plan of salvation as it unfolds through the ages, keeping this big picture in mind.
At the beginning and end of each session, two markers are presented: “Theological Topic” and “Connection with Christ,” indicating where the session’s content fits within the larger unfolding of salvation history.
The 'Theological Theme' tells us where in the text we should focus our attention on God's gospel project, and 'Connection to Christ' shows us how this point connects to the entire gospel project.
By simultaneously learning about the parts and the whole of the Gospel Project, you can develop both a short-term vision for this era and a long-term vision for the coming kingdom of God.
To help you concretize these visions, The Gospel Project includes "God's Plan, Our Mission" at the end of each session.
