My favorite band, but my second favorite album

This was a request to the authors.
I asked them to divide their favorite bands into groups so that they didn't overlap, but to pick their second-best album, not their best.
The best works are introduced here and there, so I wanted to create a book that introduces albums that are just as good.
However, metal book authors are self-centered people, so they don't necessarily follow the publisher's demands.
Sometimes, albums are chosen based on their instincts, like, "Oh, I have to write this anyway, because this is the album my fingers want right now..."

The reason I limited it to bands that debuted before the mid-90s is because I felt it was necessary to once again organize contemporary metal, as the 21st century has already been around for 25 years.
It is natural that many masterpieces appeared during the genre's formative period.

Wide, wide spectrum

As I was organizing 20th century metal, I realized that I had only been listening to music from a very limited number of bands.
Although I was confident that I had listened to quite a lot, I was a team that had only roughly listened to half of the albums we had selected together.
So I listened to it again while working and it was really good.
This is a book that even the publisher and authors studied while working on.
Even though it was like that with other music guidebooks, I was somewhat confident about metal, but I had no choice but to go down the path of introspection.
I'm sure you readers will discover quite a few new bands here.
