Walking Around the World - Southern and Eastern Europe
Description
Book Introduction
KBS's "Walk into the World" is a show you can trust and watch.
500 times of emotion delivered in a book!
To commemorate the 500th episode, the KBS "Walk into the World" production team selected "Europe I want to visit again."
Starting in Manchester, England on November 5, 2005, I traveled to over 150 countries and 1,300 cities over 11 years.
As the best travel program in Korea, it is consistently loved by viewers and is now more commonly called by the nickname "Geolse."
People of all ages and genders find rest and relaxation while watching “Walk into the World.”
The PD's greatest secret to gaining empathy is sharing the small but precious travel experiences he experiences from the perspective of a traveler. The way a single PD plans and enjoys his solo travels is unique and captivating.
"Walking into the World: My Solo European Journey" is a book that compiles experiences and information that could not be included in the broadcast.
Among the 150 countries where we travel, we will first publish the Southern and Eastern European editions.
It is a book that can be read comfortably anytime, anywhere, like a 'small resting place' in a busy daily life.

Into the book
In Chianti, there is a famous butcher shop called 'Antica Macelleria Palorni' that has been in business for 200 years.
This butcher shop, with its impressive sign in the shape of a cute pig and a stuffed boar at the entrance, sells all kinds of preserved foods, including salami, a representative Italian cured food, ham, and cheese.
Salami is a food made by sprinkling salt and spices on raw meat, then fermenting and drying it.
The Palorni family settled here in the 1500s.
The butcher shop, which started in 1820, has continued its tradition to this day and has become a local landmark.
From 'Into Southern Europe, Italy'
When you travel, a place you must visit is the local central market.
Budapest Central Market is so elegant and beautiful that you wouldn't believe it's a market.
As you step inside, the high ceiling and antique feel make you feel like you're in an old train station.
It has also been selected as the most beautiful market in Europe for three consecutive years as of 2016.
This market, consisting of a basement level and two above-ground levels, is the largest traditional market in Budapest and opened on February 15, 1897.
It was designed and built by Gustave Eiffel, the architect of the Eiffel Tower in France.
The roof is made of ceramics, and the iron structures supporting the building are also made of a special material.

Publisher's Review
A must-read for a fulfilling European trip
Vivid local information and exciting stories!
'Humans are born tired.
'Therefore, we live to rest' is a Montenegrin proverb.
Every time the PDs of "Girls" travel, they seriously look into what can only be felt and captured in the local area.
A Montenegrin proverb was also found in the same context.
While there are countless books on the market that plan travel itineraries and provide light information, "Walking Through the World: A Solo European Journey" helps develop a humanistic perspective by easily explaining the unique history, culture, and background of each destination.
For example, the book introduces interesting and informative stories such as why the shipwreck lying on Navagio Beach in Greece, the filming location of the drama "Descendants of the Sun," is there; where the red roofs of the Czech Republic come from; why the roofs of Alberobello, Italy, resemble those in "The Smurfs," and how to distinguish aged wine when pouring it into a glass. The stories the producers heard when invited to the homes of locals are truly living information itself.
The first book is a compilation of carefully selected travel destinations from Southern and Eastern Europe.
Those who have already visited the places introduced in the book can read it to reminisce, and those who are planning a trip can read it with a heart full of excitement before departure.
