This textbook was published to reflect the 2022 revised curriculum that will be applied to 1st and 2nd grade elementary school students starting in 2024.
The concepts were organized from a mathematical perspective so that lower grade students who are studying mathematics for the first time can study mathematics properly in the future.
The concepts learned in first and second grade may seem very easy and simple from an adult's perspective, but the mathematical thinking and understanding of the relationships between concepts that are formed during this period will continue into later elementary, middle, and high school mathematics learning.
Accordingly, Stepping Stone Elementary Mathematics Basics contains problems that help students understand concepts from a mathematical perspective and develop mathematical thinking skills, and can foster creativity by reflecting the new trend problem types of the new curriculum.
In addition, a separate “Basic Solid Book” was created, consisting of concept application review, descriptive problems, and performance evaluations, to review the problems in the progress book that are easy to get wrong, develop the ability to solve descriptive problems, and use it to prepare for exams.
