Book Introduction
From the Dalai Lama to Faker, the life and wisdom of a kind monk loved by the world.
"I Could Be Wrong" World's Only Handwritten Edition Published
“When I slowly absorb any good teaching into my life, my life changes.”

The book "I Could Be Wrong", which contains the beautiful life, death, and enlightenment of the blue-eyed forest monk Björn Natico Lindeblad, has become the number one bestseller in Sweden, the UK, Taiwan, and Korea due to its humble and cheerful emotional power.
This book, which the Swedes said they kept by their bedsides and copied like a bible to keep its warm wisdom close at hand, has been repeatedly requested by domestic readers to be published in a handwritten version, and now the world's only handwritten edition, "I Could Be Wrong: 108 Days of Handwritten Time to Discover the Compass Within Me," has been published in a limited edition.
As one reader said, “No matter where you open it, there are stories like jewels.” This book is composed of 108 excerpts from the original text that are worth cherishing and engraving in our daily lives, so that the book’s emotion is not a fleeting stimulus, but an enlightenment that deeply permeates the reader’s life.
To create a book that readers can complete, we used a white cover with minimal text and used mateira paper containing cotton for a comfortable texture to the hand, and used a four-stitch binding that can be fully opened for writing.
Instead of being swept away by the daily grind that demands my attention from all sides, I will find myself waiting for those ten minutes a day to tap into the quiet, peaceful wisdom within me.

The life, death, and wisdom of a blue-eyed monk beloved by the world.
Meet the world's only manuscript edition

On January 14, 2022, the death of a person was announced.
Then a huge wave of mourning swept across Sweden.
Bjorn Natiko Lindeblad, aged 60.
His final years, which ended in an untimely death, were painful and dazzling.
A teacher who comforted and led many to peace, he was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease in 2018, but he was not overcome by fear.
Rather, I lived more immersed in every moment than ever before, giving and receiving the deepest kindness and love.
He showed us that we can always find peace even when dark thoughts come, and he left this world with the words, "I leave without hesitation or fear."
His gentle and peaceful demeanor even in the face of death was not something he achieved overnight, but something he achieved over a winding 30-year journey from being the youngest executive in a large corporation to becoming a monk in a Thai forest temple and then returning to the secular world.

The book, "I Could Be Wrong," which contains the simple yet profound truths of life that have finally been reached, became a #1 bestseller in Sweden immediately after its publication and was exported to 33 countries around the world, reaching #1 on the overall bestseller list in the UK, Taiwan, and Korea.
"I Could Be Wrong", which is known as a book that readers keep close by and copy in Sweden because each chapter is filled with warm wisdom, has also been receiving constant inquiries from readers to publish the copy in Korea since its publication.
Ahead of the New Year at the end of 2024, Dasan Chodang published the world's only manuscript edition of "I Could Be Wrong: 108 Days of Desperate Time to Discover the Compass Within Me."

17 years of training in the forest
108 Teachings to Protect You in the Storm

The author quit his job at a young age, gave away all his wealth, and took refuge in a forest temple in the Thai jungle, where strict precepts are followed.
He began his 17-year life of training under the Buddhist name 'Natico', which means 'one whose wisdom grows'.
He wanted to somehow silence the constant anxiety and doubts in his mind and live as his true self.
But what he actually gained was the realization that he couldn't get rid of that sound, and that what he had believed to be 'himself' until then was nothing more than a combination of various random and impulsive thoughts.
But at the same time, I learned something.
Instead of believing all those thoughts, we can distance ourselves from them and listen to the voice of wisdom that originally resided within us.

The author never assumes the posture of someone who has transcended that high place.
Rather, it makes us laugh and cry by revealing moments that made us feel deep shame and frustration, or moments that were ridiculous and foolish.
He accepts darkness as a part of being human.
But even so, we can clearly say that we can relieve our own suffering now.
Even as he suffered from a disease that was paralyzing him and faced the prospect of separation from all his loved ones, he left behind in his original work a lifeline of wisdom that allowed him to focus on the moment and enjoy the present rather than fear the future.
This manuscript edition, "I Could Be Wrong: 108 Days of Desperate Time to Discover the Compass Within Me," compiles 108 of those crystalline realizations, designed to be engraved and lingering in the reader's mind for a long time.

“I hope this book will change your life.
I hope this helps you live more smoothly and in your own way.

This is where it all ends,
No, maybe it could be a place to start.”

In a story that touched me but passed by
With the enlightenment that will change my life

In the original book, "I Could Be Wrong," the author shares the lessons he learned from his life in a fun and moving story.
In this way, readers can easily immerse themselves and understand the wisdom more deeply through the context.
However, in our busy and stimulating daily lives, no matter how touching a story may be, it is easy to let it slip away as another piece of content.
Jinul, a Buddhist monk from the Goryeo Dynasty, said in his saying, “Sudden enlightenment and gradual cultivation,” that in order to achieve true understanding and change, even if enlightenment comes, daily habits do not easily disappear, so it is essential to take the time to slowly learn, practice, and instill them within oneself.
Even if I gain such life-changing wisdom, it only becomes my own when I take the time to reflect on it, savor it, and reflect on it in my daily life.
This manuscript edition is designed to ensure that the teachings of the author of "I Could Be Wrong" are not just a one-time inspiration, but can permeate our lives, becoming a pillar of support for us in times of storm.
If we accept every single stimulus given to us by today's society at every moment, we will inevitably suffer from all kinds of deprivation, anxiety, and emptiness.
If you find yourself habitually tormented by unhappiness and anxiety, the time of desperation this book presents will provide an opportunity to break free from that pattern and cultivate the strength to listen to your own wisdom.

6 days a week, 10 minutes a day,
Time to watch the compass inside me

How can we avoid wasting our lives if our inherently noisy minds are constantly surrounded by noise, as they are today?
How can I remember who I am and know where to go?
The author said that the body can teach the mind.
If our mind is restless, we can gather and guide it through the desperate action of straightening our backs and engraving each letter.
This book aims to make the teachings a part of daily life by transcribing 108 phrases for 10 minutes a day, 6 days a week, for 18 weeks.
After writing for 10 minutes for 6 days, on the 7th day I placed a painting by Tomas Sanchez, which was intended to bring peace through the image of a tiny human being becoming one with the vast natural landscape.
But there is no need to be bound by the order.
Looking through the table of contents or flipping through the book and transcribing phrases that strike you that day would also be close to the author's intention of valuing the voice of intuition.

To ensure that the reader can experience the tranquility of those 10 minutes, we used cotton-blend materica paper as the cover and kept the text to a minimum.
Additionally, the handwriting embossed on the cover is designed to look like a whisper, allowing readers to recall the voice hidden inside me.
Additionally, the book was bound in an exposed-leaf binding style so that it could be fully opened.
If the original book captivated you with the author's fascinating life, this book offers a time of joy and recovery, illuminating your own life through the author's warm and wise gaze.
