Description
Book Introduction
For those who want to enjoy a unique Okinawa trip!
Maguro Sensei's second trip to Japan, Okinawa, is a journey he embarks on at his own pace.

The second volume of the Maguro Sensei's free-spirited travel series, "Maguro Sensei Goes," has been published, following the Osaka & Wakayama volume 1, with the Okinawa volume 2.
The Osaka & Wakayama edition featured Osaka's dessert cafes and a trip to Wakayama where you can enjoy both sightseeing and relaxation, while the Okinawa edition introduces the best travel destinations where you can feel the unique charm of Okinawa, selected by Maguro Sensei & Sake-chan while touring around Okinawa Island, including Kokusai Street, Ryukyu Mura, Churaumi Aquarium, and Shuri Castle.

Additionally, the book is filled with small corners, including a brief history and culture of Okinawa, unique tips to know when traveling to Okinawa, and information on good restaurants around each tourist attraction.
What kind of trip did the two have in Okinawa, braving a devastating typhoon? Let's hear about Maguro-sensei and Sake-chan's eventful Okinawa trip.

Publisher's Review
It's okay if the weather doesn't cooperate
A Complete Guide to Okinawa's Charms You Never Knew About

In July 2018, Maguro-sensei left home to cover Okinawa.
Unlike the peaceful Osaka & Wakayama days, it was unsettling from the start.
Because Typhoon Prapiroon was waiting for Tuna Sensei in Okinawa.
One hour, two hours… All that was being said was that the flight was delayed.
While wondering if I could go to Okinawa today, I ate at the airport, drank coffee, ate bread, and ate ice cream.
After 6 hours of eating at Incheon Airport, the flight to Okinawa finally took off.

When I think of Okinawa, I often think of the emerald sea and the various marine leisure activities that come to mind, but the weather wasn't cooperating, so I couldn't capture everything.
However, that doesn't mean that Maguro-sensei will give up easily.
Even Okinawa, which is gray rather than emerald, is an attractive travel destination.
Okinawa, which now belongs to Japan but was originally an independent country, was returned to Japan in 1927 after 27 years of U.S. military rule.
Watching Maguro Sensei and Sake-chan travel to Okinawa, a place more famous for meat, soba, and ice cream than fish, I get a strange feeling that I'm not sure if I'm in Japan or America.
That strange feeling keeps making me curious about a place called Okinawa.
The first best place strongly recommended by Maguro Sensei is 'International Street'.
International Street is Okinawa's largest shopping street, so we recommend planning a route focused on delicious food and souvenir shopping.
In the evening, a simple beer at a pocha street is also nice.
The second is 'Ryukyu Mura', which is like a Korean folk village.
If you like traditional travel culture, it's worth stopping by at least once.
Since just looking around can be boring, we recommend trying out the various experiential activities within Ryukyu Mura.
The third is 'American Village', which has a strong American feel.
You can enjoy the night view by riding the Ferris wheel, and there are many arcades and vintage shops.
I recommend staying nearby and taking a leisurely day trip.
The fourth is the Churaumi Aquarium, which boasts the best view.
It is located near the coast and is the first place in the world to have achieved multiple whale shark breeding.
In addition, there are various observation facilities such as the sea turtle enclosure, dolphin lagoon, and manatee enclosure, so we highly recommend visiting.
The fifth is 'Orion Happy Park'.
When it comes to Okinawa, Orion Beer is a must! After seeing the Orion beer brewing process, you can even sample the beer.
A must-see for beer lovers! The sixth stop is Bise Fukugi Tree-lined Street.
Let's walk along the lush green tree-lined road, densely planted with windbreak trees.
I also recommend renting a bicycle at the entrance to Garosu-gil and exploring every nook and cranny.
The seventh is 'anti-beach'.
This is a great place for those looking for a small, quiet beach in Okinawa, a place famous for its beaches.
You can also enjoy various marine leisure activities in the emerald sea.
The eighth is Shuri Castle, the only red castle in Japan.
If you are interested in sex, this is a must-visit place.
It is interesting to explore the winding paths inside the Shuri Castle main hall.
The last place I will introduce is ‘Busena Marine Park’.
Even those who are afraid of water can enjoy underwater viewing through the underwater observatory and glass boat, and there are wonderful photo zones waiting for us.

In addition to the nine spots recommended by Maguro Sensei, there are also hidden gems worth visiting if the weather cooperates.
I hope that this book will help to dispel the prejudice that Okinawa, compared to Tokyo or Osaka, is simply a resort or a good place for marine leisure activities.
In that sense, I diligently traveled to every corner of Okinawa even in bad weather and put it into this book.
Where will Maguro Sensei's third travel destination be? Let's look forward to Maguro Sensei's future endeavors.
