Love me and don't lose me
Love me and don't lose me
Description
Book Introduction
Don Miguel Ruiz, author of the international bestseller “The Four Agreements,” presents Toltec Thought in a modern language, interpreting the wisdom of the Toltec Indians, an ancient Mexican spiritual tradition.
His books convey to today's readers over a thousand years of Toltec philosophy and thought, inherited directly from the author himself.
This book, "Love, and Lest I Lose Myself," is one of Lewis's representative works, and presents a path for humans to escape from fear and hurt and immediately move toward love and freedom.

Born in 1952, Lewis studied medicine and worked as a surgeon, but due to personal circumstances, he chose the path of a successor to ancient Toltec philosophy instead of medicine.
Since then, he has dedicated himself to teaching humanity, in modern language, how to be free from fear and hurt.
Lewis's books have had a significant impact on global figures such as Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres, and Tom Brady, and have been on Amazon's best-selling books list for ten consecutive years.
Louis' message is simple.
Humans are born with love, but they lose themselves and suffer because of the wounds and fears they receive during the process of growing up.
But we can always return to our original place, and the path is 'awakened love.'
"Love and Do Not Lose Me" contains fundamental Toltec wisdom that helps all wounded people embark on the path to immediate self-healing.
This book erases the endless loneliness and solitude between the world and me, and between others and me, and leads me to discover my original 'self', which is love itself.

Into the book
What are we hunting for? We hunt to satisfy our own needs.
As mentioned earlier, the needs of the body and the needs of the mind must be distinguished.
When the mind identifies itself with the body, its needs become fictitious desires rather than real survival.
The moment we believe that our mind is 'me', its needs become not real demands but an illusion that cannot be fulfilled.
And when we start chasing something to fulfill that fantasy, we become a being driven by endless need, a being in constant demand.
As we pursue the unfulfilled desires of our hearts and strive to acquire what we cannot have, we slowly degenerate.

--- p.20

That everyone is beautiful in their own way.
There is no superiority or inferiority between the beauty of one person and the beauty of another.
It's just that the concept of 'beauty' is different for each person.
Beauty is just a belief.

--- p.41

The love that comes from within is the only way to true happiness.
Unconditional love for oneself.
Surrendering yourself completely to that love.
No more rejecting life, no more rejecting yourself, no more carrying guilt and shame.
Just accept yourself as you are and accept others as they are.

--- p.77

We can talk about love.
You could write a thousand books about love.
But love is different for everyone.
Because love is an experience, not a theory.
Love is not a concept.
Love is an action.
When love is put into action, happiness blossoms within.
When fear is realized through action, only suffering remains.
The only way to master love with wisdom is to practice love.
No justification or explanation is needed.
Just practice love.
That practice is what makes a wise man.

--- p.99

People who are hungry for love will want to stay by your side.
They will want to feel the warmth of your love, without realizing that the door to their own heart is still closed.
But what truly makes you happy is not the love that comes from outside, but the love that flows from within.

--- p.138

If you hate someone, you can leave them.
If you don't like a group, you can get out of it.
But if you hate yourself, no matter where you go, it's no use.
Because wherever you go, you are with me.

--- p.155

You are the force that moves the wind and gives us breath.
This entire universe is a living being, and you are the force that moves it.
You are life.

--- p.173

When you love with unconditional love, you as a human being and you as a divine being are in complete harmony with the spirit of life.
At that moment, your life becomes an expression of the beauty of the spirit.
Life is just a dream, and when you create that dream with love, it becomes a masterpiece of art.

--- p.197

Open your eyes and look around.
Everything and everything around you right now is helping you cleanse the toxins within you, heal your wounds, accept yourself, and escape hell.

--- p.235

Wisdom resides within all of us.
When we give food to the hungry, water to the thirsty, and a blanket to the cold, we are showing love to the wise.

Publisher's Review
How can the common topic of love be elevated to this level of self-healing and self-freedom?
The expression is simple, but the resonance is great, and the deep and loud message touches the soul.
The language of love, so desperately needed by everyone in the world, is the message of this book, like a breath of salvation and the breath of God to us who have suffered the deepest wounds and loneliness in the name of love.
This journey of returning love to abundance, not pain and longing, and to service, not possession, would not have been possible without the accumulation of sincerity and long-term practice.
Isn't it because we are the most human, because we have suffered more sincerely than anyone else, and because we have faced that pain so desperately, that we are able to break free from the love that chases after someone?

In the end, it's not that I haven't found or obtained love, but rather that I've come to realize that love transcends the simple meaning of love and lives with the whole.
Why do the wounds of life shake people so much?
But at that time, we didn't know that we had lost love, but that we had lost ourselves in love.
There are days when I miss people, when I miss my heart, and try to fill that void, but in the end, I have to turn away, leaving behind only an even bigger void.
But this book makes me realize that all the joy and pain that love gave me was ultimately bringing me back to myself.

Perhaps love does not come to break us, but to let light into the cracks between our brokenness.
Now I know.
That love does not destroy people, but rather rebuilds them from the broken places.
The process is sometimes brutally painful, but there is a voice that can only be heard in that pain.
That voice has been within us for a very long time, and has always been waiting for us.
It was a truth so simple that I had forgotten it: 'You are already love itself.'
This book makes you hear that voice again.
A hand that embraces me and pulls me into the arms of a perfect being, as vast as the unbreakable universe, that will be with me forever.
We can't lose each other anymore.
Because love does not disappear, but continues to flow as long as we live.
