Book Introduction
The revised edition of the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Manual, which covers everything about DBT!
DBT Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Professionals, 2nd Edition
-Manual for the Treatment of Emotional Dysregulation Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder

Since the first publication of the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Training Manual in 1993, extensive research has been conducted on standard DBT, which consists of individual DBT therapy, group skills training, telephone consultations, and treatment consultation teams.
This revised edition of DBT Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Professionals draws on Dr. Marsha Linehan's experience and research, applying her existing skills and extensive research on emotions, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and mindfulness, as well as new findings from the social sciences and new treatment strategies developed within the cognitive-behavioral paradigm.
Unlike the early days when the focus was on treating high-risk clients, studies have applied skills training to a variety of groups, and its effectiveness has been demonstrated for eating disorders, treatment-resistant depression, non-suicidal self-harm, emotional regulation difficulties, interpersonal problems, and drinking problems.
It is designed to be applicable to a wide range of people, from family members or friends of clients with serious mental health issues, to people struggling with interpersonal relationships within organizations, to therapists working with difficult client groups, to companies training employees to boost morale.

The revised edition includes mindfulness skills, emotion regulation skills, interpersonal effectiveness skills, and distress tolerance skills, as well as a middle ground skill set developed for ADHD and addiction issues, and is designed to be applied in a variety of settings, including community mental health programs, inpatient facilities, emergency facilities, and prisons.
We've also expanded the lecture notes section to include a variety of research findings and educational points, enabling skill trainers to effectively teach a variety of groups.
In addition, it contains various clinical examples and supplementary materials and skills materials that can facilitate interaction with clients, thereby increasing its usability.
We offer a variety of training schedules to enable strategic use in a variety of clinical settings, and worksheets are also available for optional use.

Dr. Linehan's books, "DBT Dialectical Behavior Therapy Workbook, Second Edition" and "DBT Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Professionals, Second Edition," are the culmination of 25 years of DBT treatment know-how and will be of great help to both professionals and clients.
I hope that these two books, along with Dr. Linehan's beloved book, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy for Teens by Dr. Rathus and Dr. Miller, will provide new therapeutic hope to many who struggle with emotional and behavioral regulation issues, borderline personality disorder, and chronic suicidal thoughts.
