Behavioral support
Description
Book Introduction
This book is for people who are new to learning how to deal with behavioral problems.
To address behavioral problems based on behavioral theory, it is essential to understand the principles of behavior and how to apply them, and to be able to individualize those principles for each student.
Therefore, this book provides an easy-to-understand explanation of how to individualize behavioral problems and how to apply behavioral theory and its application from a basic level. It is not limited to behavioral theory, but comprehensively presents functional assessment of problem behavior and methods for preventing problem behavior.
Therefore, we expect this book to serve as an introductory guide to behavioral support for deeper exploration.

Publisher's Review
This book explains how to systematically and professionally support students who exhibit behavioral problems.
In Part 1, we explained the evolution of the concept of behavior support and an overview of positive behavior support at the school level to lay the foundation for behavior support.
Part 2 explains the evolution of behavior support, which began with behavioral theory, and introduces functional assessment and hypothesis-making, definition and goal-setting of behavior, behavior observation and measurement methods, graphing and data analysis, and individual subject research methods necessary for individualizing approaches to problem behavior.
Part 3 presents methods for applying behavioral theory to actual problem behaviors, including methods for preventing problem behaviors, increasing desirable behaviors, acquiring new behaviors, reducing undesirable behaviors, generalizing and maintaining behaviors, and self-management techniques.
