Publisher's Review
The translators have been focusing on Transactional Analysis (TA), a prominent psychotherapy theory, and have been thinking about how to clearly understand the connections between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors related to mental pain that speaks with the whole body and how to utilize them as a healing tool.
Claude Steiner is a translator's favorite international transactional analytic theorist and clinician who provides inspiration and clues to resolving these concerns.
Steiner developed a unique perspective based on various studies on the nature of the mind through which people interact, and as a result, he asserted that the most important thing in the human mind is the emotion called 'love.'
Translators have been studying Steiner's theory and methods of emotional utilization in educational and counseling settings, applying them to actual groups, and have been able to confirm its great effectiveness.
This book explores, researches, and presents a fundamental answer to the question, "Why can't people share the warm emotion of love?" from various perspectives of TA, including ego-state functions and stroke economics.
At the same time, it provides a clear answer to the question of how to share emotions and provides specific methods.
This book will serve as a small guide not only for those in the counseling field, but also for those studying transactional analysis group counseling in educational and organizational settings, as they work on group healing that takes advantage of the unique strengths of TA theory.
Furthermore, I hope that this will contribute, however small, to the transactional analysis counseling specialist and supervisor course run by the Korean Transactional Analysis Counseling Association as a guide and method for experiencing growth and change through groups.
