"First Encounter with Renewable Energy" is an introductory book for engineering students learning about renewable energy for the first time, and contains a carefully selected selection of the most important fundamentals of renewable energy.
The content is intuitively explained through rich illustrations, and various types of practice problems linked to the theory are included.
In the second edition, detailed technical fields were explained, starting with policy, industry, and technology trends, based on the characteristics of the renewable energy sector and the urgency of its realization.
In particular, solar energy was subdivided into solar energy, solar heat, and solar power in connection with the Renewable Energy Power Generation Equipment Engineer qualification of the Korea Human Resources Development Institute of Korea.
Chapter 10 further describes secondary batteries, discussing their differences from fuel cells and their applications.
