There comes a moment when you take the first step toward research and writing a paper.
There comes a time when you have to finish your research and paper.
This book is the product of a process of guiding the writing of dissertations for researchers and teacher researchers who are newly beginning degree programs in graduate and graduate schools of education.
All new researchers need systematic training in research methodology and paper writing.
Among them, research methodology is generally provided in lecture form, and there are many related books.
Basic and advanced courses are offered primarily focusing on statistical research methods, and recently, classes on qualitative research methodology have also been strengthened.
However, learning how to write a paper, which involves conducting research and academically organizing the process and results, is often left to the individual.

You will receive guidance on your thesis from your advisor, but you will not learn everything from A to Z.
By reading many good papers, you can gain practical experience in writing papers, and peer review within your academic community is also very helpful.
Wouldn't it be even more helpful if there were a reference book for research and paper writing? This book aims to help beginners systematically learn and apply paper writing techniques, and is designed to be used as both a personal study resource and a teaching aid.

Many teachers who teach in the field are involved in educational research.
In the field of education, we often see excellent teachers struggling with 'research' due to lack of experience and learning opportunities.
For any new researcher new to research, writing a paper is never an easy challenge.
The same would apply to undergraduate students beginning their studies in education and to researchers in the field.
We need a book that can serve as a practical guide during the research and paper writing process.
We've carefully designed this guide to help you answer the numerous questions you'll encounter during your research, ensuring you conduct proper research and write papers.

The book is structured as follows:
Chapter I provides a general overview of educational research paper writing, while Chapter IV covers the specifics of paper writing and presentation. Chapters I and IV were written by Professor Park Soo-jung, based on her experience in presenting approximately 150 academic papers and supervising graduate students for many years.
Chapters II and III cover the two representative research methods for educational research papers: quantitative research papers and qualitative research papers.
Professor Lee Hee-sook, who wrote Chapter II, is an expert in quantitative research on educational economics and policy.
Professor Kim Seon-yeong, who wrote Chapter Ⅲ, holds a Ph.D. in higher education administration and qualitative research methods and is a qualitative researcher who primarily studies university students.
Each chapter provides specific, practical tips for writing a paper and is designed to be a practical reference for the paper writing process.
I recommend that you first read Chapters I and IV, which are common to all studies, to understand the overall flow, and then read Chapter II or III, depending on your interests, but at least look at them once.

The authors discussed the direction and structure of the book several times, and read and provided feedback on each manuscript multiple times to ensure maximum completion.
Since we have selected the essential elements necessary for new researchers to write papers, the introduction to research methods covers only the core content necessary within the context of paper writing.
We recommend that researchers study appropriate professional literature regarding the specific research methodology they choose.
