Description
Book Introduction
The author, Kwak (real name Kwak Dong-woon), enjoys walking and has the grand title of ‘History Trekking Master.’
He is evaluated to have opened a new horizon for field trekking through his previous book, 『Introduction to Seoul Studies on Historical Trekking』.
His walk continued beyond Korea and into Spain.
Over the past 10 years, I have been walking all over Spain and learning about the country bit by bit.
His walking was not just a means of transportation, but learning itself.
Perhaps that's why he often said, "Expansion of space leads to expansion of knowledge."

Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Porto...
Just hearing it makes me want to book a plane ticket right away.
What about the Camino de Santiago? Isn't it someone's dream and top of their bucket list? So many Koreans aspire to travel to Spain and Portugal.
If you travel to such a destination, it will be more fun if you go there knowing the right things.
But it is not easy to know about the history and culture of other countries.
It's not easy to know our country's history...

In that respect, 『Fun Spain』 is a fun and easy read.
This is a perfect book for an introduction to Spanish.
In particular, the map drawn by the author himself will definitely increase your understanding.
If travel books are about looking at pictures, then 『Fun Spain』 is about looking at maps.
"Fun Spain" will invite readers to the space called Spain.
Invited readers will have fun turning the pages and learning about Spain.
You will enjoy the expansion of your knowledge.

Into the book
I remember it was when I was in the first year of middle school.
The words 'Spain, Portugal' came out of my mouth.
The teacher was explaining something, and I seemed to have answered absentmindedly, blurting out the names of the two countries.
Although it was more than 30 years ago, the memory of that day is still vivid in my mind as if it happened just yesterday.
Perhaps the words I blurted out that day have come to rest in this "fun Spain" after a long journey.

Publisher's Review
"Fun Spain" is a book that explains the difficult history and culture of Spain in a fun way.
The author loves walking so much that he confesses that this book is also a result of walking.
That probably means that he went to the site himself with his own two feet.
The author is said to have put in a lot of effort to convey the scene to readers in an easily understandable way.
The inclusion of many maps may also be part of that effort.
The place names were unfamiliar and hard to remember, but looking at the map, I felt like I had a better idea.
As I live, I feel like I retain more of what I studied with enjoyment than what I studied with difficulty.
It means that because it's fun, you'll look at it again later and eventually learn it properly.
I hope the author's "Fun Spain" becomes a huge hit.
Then, books like “Fun France” and “Fun Italy” can continue to be published.
How great would it be if we could learn difficult world history in a fun way!
