A revised edition of 『Du-gil's History of Western Music』, which has been a guidebook for music students and countless others who want to approach music systematically since its first edition was published in 1997.
The 'two-track' format of 'detailed explanation' and 'brief summary' has been maintained, and new 'two-tracks' have been added, such as 'Major Trends of Western Music', which briefly covers the entire history of Western music, and 'Genres and Theories', which define Western music terms in an easy-to-understand manner.

In addition to the 'texts' written by music experts of each era, the rich pictorial materials such as related photos and composers' handwritten scores, as well as the inserted scores and CDs containing the corresponding music, stimulate the eyes and ears and help to more easily understand the history of Western music.
