Newly written special lecture on Korean history
Description
Book Introduction
Korean History Research: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow

It has been over 30 years since 『Special Lectures on Korean History』 was published.
To incorporate the research achievements accumulated in academia and reflect the changes over time, the newly written 『Newly Written Special Lectures on Korean History』 focuses on a condensed narrative of the research results to date, and reveals the position of Korean history as the history of a single country that constitutes world history.
It was structured in a way that broke away from the linear Western framework, but did not flow into Korean specificities.
In addition, considering that South Korea is currently a multicultural society, we wanted to fully demonstrate the openness that is evident in each era.
I hope that this book will not be a textbook that unilaterally conveys knowledge of Korean history, but rather a playground for learning the logic of historical studies within the context of world history.
