After his father's miraculous cure from cancer, he accepted Jesus and began his path as an evangelist.
His 30-year personal history vividly testifies to the growth of the Chinese house church and its persecution since the 1970s.
The book features numerous surreal moments of miracles, including revelations through dreams, miracles of healing, and an incredible prison escape by jumping over a two-meter-high fence.
Was it because he lamented the harshness of China, where only one Bible was available in each neighborhood?
The Holy Spirit laid the foundation for the gospel in China through the countless "healings and miracles" that gathered the "chosen people" of the early church. In that sense, this book deserves to be read with some caution.
For the 21st century church and the believers of this land, who are excessively obsessed with the abundance of 'human rights' and 'economic growth', there is a risk that the dramatic religious history of one person, filled with miracles, could become biased.
But aside from these few points, this book is sufficiently evangelical and moving.
The burning desire for the Word, the powerful ministry of the saints, who seem to witness the revival and persecution of the early church, are enough to ignite the hearts of many indifferent Christians today.
When is anything a person does ever perfect?
The history of the Chinese Christian church is being rewritten, even though it is being divided into various forms, its initial purity is fading somewhat, and some are falling into the spirit of delusion.
Just like our Korean church history.

index

Recommendation 1 7
Post of Chuchan 2 10

1 A Poor Start 17
2 The First Gift Received from God 26
3 Go! autumn morning in 1999, I woke up in the western Norwegian town of Bergen.
My heart was pounding and my stomach was churning with excitement.
I have been speaking in churches throughout Scandinavia, and I have refused to join the Chinese home churches, the so-called wilderness churches, or the Three-Self Church, the established church in China, and have been persecuted even today for adhering to biblical and voluntary principles of faith.
While testifying about the fact that most of China's entire Christian population (estimated to be over 100 million) is known to belong to house churches, we were appealing to Western believers to join us in spreading the gospel throughout China and beyond.
Then one day, the people who invited me suggested that I visit Marie Monsen's grave.
Marie Monsen was a Lutheran missionary sent to China, and from 1901 to 1932, she was a worker greatly used by God in the revival of churches throughout my homeland.
Her ministry has been particularly fruitful in southern Henan Province, where I was born.
Although Monsen was small in stature, he was a giant in the kingdom of God.
The Chinese churches were deeply inspired and influenced not only by her words but also by her sacrificial attitude toward life.
She was an unwavering disciple, completely devoted to Jesus Christ, and she set an example of what suffering and endurance should be for the Lord.
God gave Marie Monsen power so that many miracles, signs, and wonders occurred where she ministered.
In 1932, Monsen returned to Norway to care for her aging parents, ending her ministry in China.
After that, she never visited China again.
Yet her unwavering faith, undying passion, and teachings on the need for total devotion and rebirth for Christ live on as a living legacy in the Chinese church today.
I had the very special opportunity to visit Monsen's grave in the country where she was born.
I wondered if there were any Chinese Christians who had this opportunity like I did.
When she came to my hometown in China, there were few Christians and the church was weak.
Yet today there are millions of Christians there.
I decided to represent them and give thanks to God for leading their lives.
The car carrying us arrived at the cemetery.
The cemetery was located on a hillside in a narrow valley through which a stream flowed.
We walked along, looking carefully for a while, hoping to find her name among the hundreds of gravestones.
However, as I couldn't find her grave right away, I had to ask the management office for help.
The caretaker looked through the list of people buried in the cemetery, wondering if her name was unfamiliar.
He flipped through the pages one by one and then said something that was truly unbelievable.
"Marie Monsen was apparently buried here in 1962.
But because it had not been cared for for a long time, it has now become an empty lot without even a gravestone."
In China, it is a custom for descendants to cherish the footsteps of those who have achieved great things, so I never imagined something like this would happen.
The Norwegian believers who accompanied her said they still deeply respect Marie Monsen and are paying tribute to her in other ways, such as publishing a biography, even though it has been decades since her death.
But I thought that an unmarked grave was an insult to the spirit and should be corrected.
I spoke solemnly and with a heavy heart to the Norwegian faithful, filled with deep sorrow.
"You must be a proper example to this woman, a woman of God.
I'll give you two years to build a new tomb and headstone.
If you don't do that, I will personally bring Chinese believers to Norway and make
