Into the book
FBA stands for Fulfillment by Amazon, which simply means that Amazon handles services such as inventory storage, shipping, customer service (C/S), and returns processing.
Once a seller ships their products to an Amazon warehouse, Amazon will handle shipping and other services directly whenever a customer places an order.
Therefore, the more of these logistics hubs you have, the more sellers' products you can store and the faster delivery you can deliver to more customers.
As of Q3 2023, Amazon operates 1,334 Amazon Fulfillment warehouses across the United States, which is a staggering number.
This logistics competitiveness is a core competency that is difficult for competing platforms to catch up with, as it requires massive initial investment, securing physical bases, and system infrastructure.
--- From "Chapter 1: Why Amazon? Amazon's Characteristics"
While there's no set answer to what sells best, there are certainly some items that are more "advantageous" for selling on Amazon.
There are also some items that are 'unfavorable' for beginner sellers to start with.
Ultimately, the purpose of this chapter is to help you develop the ability to determine whether an item you want to sell has "potential" on Amazon.
I think the key to selling on Amazon is discovering that potential and then turning it into a 'top-selling' item.
When searching for items, you should utilize a variety of sources to gather as many item ideas as possible, and then select them through a process of verifying and filtering them based on various criteria and data to determine their suitability for selling on Amazon.
--- From "Chapter 3: The Law of Selling Products"
Another key difference with the A10 algorithm is that it has been updated from the traditional keyword-based top ranking system to incorporate artificial intelligence technology to more precisely track customer behavior, enabling more personalized search results than before.
Click-through rate and conversion rate were also important in the A9 algorithm.
In the A10 algorithm, products that receive a lot of clicks and thus increase traffic are more likely to be displayed at the top.
That is, it displays the most viewed or clicked products on Amazon, along with the most purchased products and products most likely to be purchased at the top.
To achieve this, Amazon is applying artificial intelligence technology to examine individual customers' purchase history, clicked items, and shopping cart contents, ensuring that customers' complex purchasing behavior is reflected in search rankings.
--- From "The Secret of Listings That Lead to Sales"
Originally, when sending products to an Amazon warehouse, we explained that we would create a shipping plan in advance, then pack the products according to the created shipping plan, attach the FBA box labels accurately, and send them out.
However, when sending goods by sea, the goods are first shipped by ship, and then a delivery plan is created after the goods are received at the warehouse of the shipping agent located in the United States.
Then, the products shipped via ocean transport can be stored in the warehouse of a U.S. shipping agent and shipped all at once depending on inventory status, or shipments can be requested in multiple installments.
Many people feel the biggest difference when they switch from air transport to sea transport.
To put it simply, you can think of it as storing your products in a US shipping agent's warehouse and shipping them to an Amazon FBA warehouse through transportation within the US.
--- From "Chapter 5: Efficient FBA Operation Methods"
Let's take a look at the advertising effectiveness through an advertising campaign I actually ran.
I created auto-targeting ads for all my products and set my daily budget to a very high $1,000.
Looking at that ad campaign, we can see that it only spent $54.47 on advertising over the course of about 9 days, generating $1,230.66 in free sales.
ROAS, an indicator of advertising efficiency, is showing ultra-high efficiency at only 22.59% and ACOS at only 4.43%.
I divided the bidding target into groups and used slightly different bidding strategies.
I set the bid value for Close Match to the highest, and set the remaining match types to the lowest bid value so that the ads are executed automatically.

Publisher's Review
From 0 won in sales to 200 million won in monthly sales
Amazon selling know-how learned through 7 years of trial and error!
I'll finish it with this one book!!!
The author, who started with zero sales on Amazon and became a global top seller with monthly sales of 200 million won in just 7 years, says that the journey up to this point was by no means easy.
Even seven years ago, information about Amazon selling wasn't as plentiful as it is now, and existing Amazon sellers, who would eventually become competitors, weren't willing to share information.
Of course, even at that time, there were lectures and consulting services costing millions of won, but they were merely manuals introducing various Amazon menus.
In the end, the author, with a sense of shoveling in the dirt, searched through overseas Amazon forums and personally experienced Amazon selling by selling products.
As a result, the author realized that experiencing Amazon selling firsthand was more valuable than spending millions of won on lectures and consulting, and that understanding Amazon's keyword search algorithm was key to selling on Amazon.
You need to understand Amazon's keyword search algorithm before registering your products and executing advertising and marketing campaigns. This will ensure that your products rank higher than those of competing sellers when Amazon customers search for them, thereby increasing sales.
