This winter with baby bear
We'll build a snowman, have a snowball fight, and go sledding!

On a spring day filled with the scent of daisies, a baby bear came to see me.
Baby Bear and I became fast friends.
We spend spring, summer, and fall together, feeling the cool breeze on a cherry tree, gazing at the stars floating in the night sky, and making a pillow for Baby Bear out of maple leaves.
Our friendship has deepened as we have spent more time together.


As winter approaches, Baby Bear asks:
“How is winter? I’ve never seen winter before,” I answer.
“When it snows, the whole world turns white.
“You can make a snowman, have a snowball fight, and go sledding.” Baby Bear says he doesn’t want to hibernate and wants to see winter with me.
But I have to say goodbye to the baby bear for a while as he has to hibernate.
And he finds a way to show winter to the baby bear who has never seen winter.

When the long winter passes and spring comes, we will have grown a little taller, right?

So I decided to create a one-of-a-kind picture book about winter with Baby Bear.

Like a seed preparing to take root in the cold ground, like a tree preparing to sprout within its bare branches.
When spring comes, both the baby bear and the child will have grown an inch taller.
And you will naturally come to understand the changing seasons and the laws of nature.

"How to Show Winter to Baby Bear" is a nature picture book that contains all four seasons.
From the time Baby Bear and the Child first met in spring until they met again the following spring, the time they spent together and the changing seasons were beautifully captured in oil on canvas.
Among the various painting techniques, oil painting is one that requires a lot of time and effort.
Because it requires multiple layers, the process of painting on the canvas, letting it dry, painting again, and letting it dry again must be repeated several times before a single painting is completed.


Before this picture book was published, the author spent a long time drawing the pictures, carefully cherishing the characters and landscapes that appear in the pictures and building up his heart.
